Slothman Posted August 26, 2004 Share Posted August 26, 2004 first install windows on yer primary partition, then install linux. use the "auto alocate" button if it's an options. or heres a amall guide /= depends on the distrobution/how much you are installing. swap= should be slightly bigger than the amount of Ram you have /home= as big as you can get it, this is where all the user files go Link to comment

Posted August 26, 2004 Author Share Posted August 26, 2004 well i should mension i have one partition already. my compaq came with a recovery partition and a deafault partition, i tryed to add a linux partition, in linux2 format (forget the full name of the format) in any case, ill format, repartition, ect later.
