Low FPS, no methods worked yet.

Question

Hi there! After asking everywhere in google, yahoo, etc. I haven't got any satisfactory answer. I even googled for hours but no luck. Here's my issue. I play CIT(Community of integrity and transparency) most of you might be familiar as it's a famous server. It has players above 900. And there are special criminal events which occur from time to time. It is of 20 v 20, plus including criminals makes it 60+ people in one interior. And at this place my PC gives up, and starts giving me low FPS. Very low, It is that much slow that it takes 4 secs to take one step. I've been suffering for this and I finally thought of getting a GPU, I had pre-installed 256 MB of graphics. I installed NVIDIA GeFoce GT610 2 GB DDR3 in the hope that I will be getting good FPS. But still no sign of it. I was facing the same old issue I used to face. And now, after some months I'm thinking of upgrading my RAM which I did. It used to be 2 but it is 3 now. It is 3 GB just for now since he didn't had 2 GB, I told him just to install 1 GB so that I can see a improvement in game but nope, no improvement, the same old crappy FPS, the same old gameplay.

Here are are some specs and everything:

Processor: AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-Core Processor, 2.3 GHz

Graphics card: GeForce GT 610 (2 GB DDR3 memory)

RAM: 4 GB (Current is 3 GB, I'll be installing 2 or more to make it 4+)

Some SSs: My FPS when I was in a outdoor criminal event called PDR: http://i.imgur.com/8u3g6RY.png

My RAM: http://i.imgur.com/DA9gB5Q.png

Other specs: http://i.imgur.com/DA9gB5Q.png

So, what do you guys think What is the issue? What can I do to get it fixed? I really need to get this fixed!

that the Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit is only capable working with a maximum of 3.25 GB, however the rest of it will be used by the game

That's right, you will need 64bit windows to make all of your RAM available. Secondly the disabled amount isn't used, not even for games, if you use 32bit. But for MTA, this won't make a huge difference comparing how much memory MTA is working with.

I've seen many people whose PC have above 8 GB installed, and all of it is usable.

Because they were using an 64bit OS.

If you have any more questions on similar subjects, maybe go to technical support-dedicated forums.

@Towncivilian @Dutchman:

Ok, just now I was trying to do that. I followed all the instructions at sevenforums.com, which was linked by Towncivilian. I had got the same prompt as the guy in the forum. After that I downloaded those 2 archive files, and when I was trying to open the "ROM" one, it wasn't opening. Idk what to do now.

Do you have any other of those 2 files? And correct me if I am wrong, the 2 files which you provided should be FIRST extracted and then should be placed in the USB stick right?

In this Screen: http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/ ... e-pic8.jpg

If you check out the last window, I had almost the same thingy, but after this I don't know what to do? I've already placed the 2 files but still they don't work. And also it didn't occupied 8 MB of space, it was less than 2 MB, am I going wrong somewhere?

EDIT: I did it the second time, and here's some screens:

Am I going wrong somewhere? I saw the last window as the guy in sevenforums got. So, I think I am going good until there. What's the issue now

Reboot your PC with the flash drive still plugged in. You should reach a DOS prompt (C:> with flashing line). Type AFUDOS238 M3A78-EM~1.ROM then press Enter. The flash process should begin.

If it does not automatically boot to the DOS prompt, try holding F8 when you first power on your computer. A boot menu should appear; pick your flash drive and press Enter, then proceed with the steps above.

@Towncivilian: I did. And it didn't worked. Here's a screen: http://i.imgur.com/r0nBWlM.jpg

I tried them both seperatley, together, and all the ways I could but still no luck. And also, do we have to write them there with "space" or without space? Anyways, Idk if it matters since I tried both.

EDIT: Done! BIOS Version updated successfully: http://i.imgur.com/H3YQ0cT.png

Special thanks to: @Towncivilian, @Dutchman101, @Stiflersmom

Ok, so now what's next? Or that's it? My FPS will be improved?

RE-EDIT: Ok, no improvement at all. It was almost the same as the old one, any idea why? And how do I fix it? ._.

Intel HD secondary graphics that you have is very likely to outline the Nvidia card. That ofcourse, would slow down.

Go to Nvidia control panel (rightmouse click on desktop > Nvidia/geforce panel) and go to Program settings/global settings/3D settings or similar. Then select the global ''preffered adapter/''preffered graphics (processor)'' or similar.

Select ''Use powerfull Nvidia graphics'' if possible as Global settings, otherwise add the applications MTA and GTA_SA.exe and apply it to there. After that ensure that in the ''specific definable settings'' everything is set to ''Let the application decide'' as much as possible.

also an new MTA diag would help to look further as Towncivilian said. Tell us the results and I will finish the support on this one aslong you keep the issues.

@Towncivilian, @Dutchman101

Here's the latest MTADiag log: http://pastebin.mtasa.com/415604870

Dutchman, I was trying to follow the instructions but I couldn't move forward since there was no apply option. Also, where is "specific definable settings" and where can I find "let the application decide"? I am sorry but can you please post the instructions once again? I mean, your nvidia control panel might be either new or old, since that happens alot.

The temperature screen shows that your CPU is running very hot, means that if you launch MTA from then, the CPU will clock itself down to prevent further heat/damage (system feature) and then obviously it will slow down.

@Dutchman: First of all, can you please tell me how can I use my GT610 for all the time? And how do I make sure it is working with everything it has got. Secondly, if my PC is getting heated what do I do? Is here a way to fix it?

And also I've been experiencing another issue which is whenever I play the game, I always get massive FPS drops. Just for example, from 27 FPS it drops down to 16 or even 11. How do I fix this?

I really need fix these issues!

It affects that much? I think I've got about 3 fans in my PC, as long time ago my PC used to shut down automatically due to over heating, which is fixed now.

A1. My computer is quite old. Bought between 2009 or 2010.

A2. I've a PC (Personal computer.)

Q1: How do I clean the PC and cool the computer to get that much FPS? Though I don't even wish to that that much, 20+ is what I desire for but I don't even get that.

1: there is no onboard graphics, you *are* using the GT610 all the time. The card is very anemic though, you should try to upgrade to a better card. Even a GT620 will probably double your performance.

2: compressed air will blow the dust out of your computer. Take it outside as it may be very dusty.

3: your power supply's voltages are barely within spec. Consider buying a Corsair CX430, it is a very good and inexpensive unit.

Wait, what? Uhh, is that the only way out? Since I've spent all of the money buying the RAM as well as the GPU. I currently have less than $10, and both of them are above $40, so.. Is there anything else I can do?

you can clean and cooling your computer from inside ?
