Guardians Proper Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 anyways, they just found a faster way to send data, is all I meant illegal as far as MTA Policy goes. And I suppose that is a good enough answer for me...
gtafreek Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 What's the deal? May 18th you guys said you were planning a release. What's going on?
orappa Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 What's the deal? May 18th you guys said you were planning a release. What's going on? Yeah, planning a release. The release depended on how quickly bugs could be squashed (and the long wait would suggest that there was some difficulty).
Guardians Proper Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Release dates are for dumb people. Just play the game, and when they release it, it'll be more of a surprise. Yaaaay!
eAi Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 As has been said before, we're currently working on 0.4 and the new core. The new core is a huge project, so concequently, we're putting quite a lot of work into that, so that people don't have to wait months for the transition between the two. Concequently, 0.4 isn't developed as fast as it could be, if the whole team was working on it. We'll get it finished soon, almost there eAi

(Many people think you're all just sitting on your bum bums being lazy!)

Hopefully all this time will make them super good 2 years for MTA 0.4? What? Huh?! lol i was talking about duke nukem forever Didn't they start developing it in 1996 (= 8 years)? Concequently, 0.4 isn't developed as fast as it could be, if the whole team was working on it. Oh, MrBump (I think it was Bump anyway) said that those whose work on 0.4 was complete were developing the new core and those who still had work to do on the 0.4 client were working on that.
Slothman Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 yup, they promised a sequel when they released the plutonium pack for duke 3d. anyhow, back on topic, smooth driving in mta would be great, but 1 question: how about the engine noises when passenger? as it is now, the car sounds idle when yer a passenger, untill you start pressing the gas (although you have no control over the car), this is minor, but i would think it goes hand in hand with a smoother passenger experience.
Guardians Proper Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 lol i was talking about duke nukem forever Yeah I know, just making a little joke... As for car engines, if you hold the up arrow while you're a passenger, you hear the car sounds! But that's a "ghetto" way of doing it, so I guess car sounds would be a good idea for when you're on foot.
Kent747 Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 pretty sure new core will handle the engine noises can't promise anything for that or 0.4 though... Kent
orappa Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 You guys never promise anything... It's better than some people who promise things that they can't deliver (this isn't directed at anyone in particular, btw).
Guardians Proper Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 *cough*gtaT*cough* Well, at least we know GTAT has high hopes... But unfortunately they don't have what it takes to get there.
