if ne1 else is using zonealarm you might have discovered that it wont allow you to connect to a mta server.

either shutdown zonealarm or allow access to the ports (2003 by default)

cheers

I use zone alarm and set at a very high 'level', All you need to do is tick 'allow this program to access the internet' and 'allow to act as a server' when you first run it and the ZA window pops up and it should allow it from then on.

If you have that option turned off then simply go to the 'programs' section and add mta then give it the relevant permissions.

Why are u guys using ZoneAlarm? Use a better firewall like Norton Internet Security (Personal Firewall). If u cant use that one, then use Mcafee.

Cause Zone alarm is free and is good, so why go pay for another one?

Cudda Kine <--- what he sayd :P black ice has to be one of the worse firewall from its exploits zone alarm is not to bad but dont realy give much protection easy to get by

IMHO, Zone alarm & BlackIce r poop. NIS (norton internet security...) doesn't even compare since it's a resource whore.

Sygate all the way... :D

A firewall has nothing to do with blocking your access to MTA servers, it's outgoing UDP traffic that MTA uses and a normal firewall like Zonealarm doesn't block this.. it's probably something else that's blocking it
