255 slots? what the :O

well, today i played mta and i've noticed one thing.. everybody knows valhalla, right? ok, then, i have just one question: how do they did 255 slots on their server?

or mta 1.0.3 now supports more than 128 slots? or valhalla owners have a special order for 255 slots..? heh

Yeah I've noticed that too I'm guessing mta raised the player limit in 1.0.3 and I've also heard people request more player slots. So it looks like the new player limit is 255

1.0.3 is still locked at 128 player limit. Don't ask me how they got 255 though, I only looked in the source code and tried to start the server with 255 max players.

(not that 255 player limit is useful in any way if there aren't even enough players to fill 128 slots)

I'd say their server has 255 available slots but MTA still restricts to 128 or they just fiddled with the source code, something similar to what they did with sa-mp when 0.2.2 servers had 500 slots.

I made them that server to test how would MTA deal with a raised limit. The server is meant to support 255 players, but it needs hack in the server-side source, so I didn't release it yet until we get a proper fix. But such fix would require to outdate all previous versions, 1.0.3 and backwards.

If you want to know how to make a 255 player slots server, let me know and I will post here the required changes.
