robhol
No. And if you could, that'd be extremely pathetic and rude. Shame on you. Link to comment
Brophy
Ask permission from the people who run the server, if they say no you will have to do it yourself, tho it would be kinda lame to try and copy another server's work Link to comment
Shadowsniper
No. And if you could, that'd be extremely pathetic and rude. Shame on you. I wonder how it's pathetic to copy a map from one server to own, it's not that you're taking credit for the map, it's exposing the map to more people for more people to enjoy. How's that pathetic? Transom
You can't claim copyright on maps ... Link to comment
Slothman
WITHOUT getting into a legal debate over whats allowed and what isnt, lets just say if the map hasnt been uploaded freely to the public and you dont have permission from the author, its in very poor taste to rip off their work. Phat Looser
Actually, yes, you can. Read through the MTA sourcecode and create a hack which directly reads out the current objects and creates a map file. As soon as you are advanced enough to do that, you surely can create the maps yourself, without needing the tool you just programmed. Link to comment
