After SA-MP was closed (hoping not to get banned for saying "SA-MP" in here), the information was spread that they had problems with heavy, or even very heavy attacks. In this case: What will happen if MTA will get Multiplayer Mod # 1?

Imagine that: All those, lets call them idiots, are trying to play MTA then. The first thing they will do is try to get DP3. Or, later on, DP4. You catch up, I think.

Now, that means, instead of SA-MP, MTA will be the main target of hacking attacks, DDoSing, and all that stuff noone needs.

What happens if that happens?

Imagine someone would leak DP3. What would the reaction of the MTA team be?

I am thinking about it, and I don't know if the team would react the same impatient way SA-MP did. The problem is, its an attack, after all.

Not that I care much about SA-MP, I was banned from their forums because I tried to talk with them about their bots (I was chatting with them in a private channel. Still angry about them because they, in fact, blamed me for the leaked information - indirectly).

could anyone give me a summary of what happend to samp or kyeman?

Hopefully this isn't against the rules or anything..but there is information on why development was halted (more than likely forever) on the unofficial samp forums. and here is the link.

We can handle a lot of problems and we are resourcefull when it comes down to surviving. But major DDoS attacks can take anyone down and will in the end cripple us just like SA-MP. Yes we have lost money in the past to DDoS and lost a server to it.

If DP3 leaked then so be it. We try to contain our test versions as much as possible. Just like sa-mp 0.2.5 people can't set up or use their own servers. It's the only thing we can do. Things like cheating and hacking are a problem in any game. It doesn't matter if you make something for free or play big games like Battlefield or CoD, cheaters and hackers everywhere. All we can do is try and limit it as much as possible.

Yeah, but it's not the g00nz that targeted SAMP either... so while that ( or they ) ARE a factor in a lot of random-ass hardcore E-Attacks... that wasn't the case here.

Yeah, but it's not the g00nz that targeted SAMP either... so while that ( or they ) ARE a factor in a lot of random-ass hardcore E-Attacks... that wasn't the case here.
