Guest
Hello everyone, This probally been asked a million times but i have search the forums and couldn't find a answer. When i want to jion a MTA server, the loading screen appears and after that it goes black and most of the time i can only reset my pc. I have tried to solve it by doing a lot of things, such as the compatibility thing, updating all my drivers, even editing Windows settings. The weird part off all(in my eyes) is that San Andreas works perfectlly in SP but only MTA is having problems. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me solve this problem Greetings, Exel Link to comment
Truespin
First of all I would turn my firewall off to see if it works then. If yes, you have to set it right. Do you have version 1.0? Or 1.01? It´s important to have 1.0 to play MTA! Link to comment
Guest
I got no firewall, and i do play on 1.0. I have done everything on the other topics and stuff and nothing seems to work Link to comment

Quest
The answer to the problem is the server not you. Unless you cannot connect to any server. It has to do with linux servers running the max download rate for custom scripts. They need to tune it down a setting. So everyone can join Link to comment
skybon
Also sometimes there is situation when no gamemode selected - simply put votemode and start playing Link to comment
heavy air
the way to forward ports for you router is get model number of router ( usually on bottom of router ) go to portforwarding.com and get instructions for your router open mtaserver config file in mtaserver\mods\deathmatch (wherever u installed it) first line is server name (is set to default mta server) get serverport and httpport numbers (line 4 and 7) and for all seeing eye just add 123 to serverport number on my router looks like this private ip __________private port _____________ type _____________ public port 192.168.2.2_________22004___________________udp_______________22004 (server port) 192.168.2.2_________22005___________________http______________22005 (http port) 192.168.2.2_________22127___________________udp_______________22127 (all seeing eye) for lan play only need first two third port is to make visbible to server browser if u want to connect on lan just go to quick connect put in your ip address and server port number Link to comment

Axis
Unlocking ports has to do with Server Side, not client side? She can't join ANY Server we've tried many things. I host my own Server and no matter the options I try to change, EVERYONE else can join no problem but she always gets logged out nearly instantly. Its often "Has joined...2 seconds later...has left" wich in normal cases of timeout would give alot more delay. Can someone Please help her, its been WEEKS we're stuck with this problem and its VERY annoying and frustrating that we all get to play "while she sits on the bench"... Link to comment
