909
I was playing SA-MP the other day and noticed how bad the sync was, maybe it had a lot to do with everyone pinging over 150 and I was around 50ms. Anyways, is the sync in MTA going to be better than SA-MP? Link to comment

Shib
I don't think either one would compare with a different multiplayer mod. So I doubt you'll get a reasonable answer for that. Link to comment
909
This is a question for those who have played MTA and SA-MP. I'm specifically talking about the weapon sync. Link to comment

Bladexen
This all my opinoin but, I am a daily SA-MP player, but from what I've heard, seen, and played from MTA in the past, I think its going to be much better sync, its not official though just what I think. I'm usally right... Link to comment

Btw, 909, you won't get an official answer to your question. Link to comment
Mnightmare
speaking of connection speed.. what is the most important?.. up-speed, or down-speed?... and what is the estimated minimum for ok/good results? Link to comment
MrJax
speaking of connection speed..what is the most important?.. up-speed, or down-speed?... and what is the estimated minimum for ok/good results? Well both are equally important, if you have a bad upload speed, you're going to seem warpy to others, and if you have a bad download speed, others are going to seem warpy to you. Either can make gameplay worse. There isn't any estimated bandwidth usage/required speeds yet, because features are still being implemented (which may increase or decrease either). Link to comment
orappa
Download-speed is more important because when you upload data, you will only be uploading data for one person (you). When you download data, you will be downloading it for all persons in your vicinity. But as Jax says, upload speed is still important. Link to comment
Blackhawk38
i think the sync would be better as sa-mp.... the MTA-Team spent so much time on this mod so it must be better... I think it would be perfect... Link to comment
orappa
It's impossible for it to be perfect. There are lots of factors that affect it. Link to comment

Yes but you upload YOU to all the people on the server unless all the download and upload traffic goes thru the server, and the server sends all the data to everyone. Link to comment
orappa
It goes through the server. You never connect directly to other people. Link to comment
