Real cars could cause licensing problems. I think accurately modelling real places and cars wouldn't allow for creative freedom from the developers. It's far better to base it on real cars and places.

Using real cars in such a contreversial game would be bad PR for the car companies. That's why GTA has always used imitations of real vehicles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ve ... uto_series

The only boundaries of the game i liked was the graphics which were very nicely detailed, but apart from that the only small percentage of the game i liked was probably the gameplay and the stealth with the player, though even that wasn't nothing great.

and they don't have licensed cars because it would be prety expensive to get all the licenses

Anyways, what maks a game good is not having "real" cars,

but its gameplay, concept, and sometimes plot.
