Outram Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 This post is kinda a question for the Devs (Sorry, I know ur busy)... Has Rockstar approached you guys at all about working on GTA4 to make it Multi straight out of the box? Just Wondering...
0 Zarkolix Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Rockstar wont be put off by hot coffee If you say so...
0 Gamefreek Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Why would they not release a pc version due to hotcoffee? You could get hotcoffee on the consoles too and yet they are still releasing it for console
0 erorr404 Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 XBOX Live doesn't mean multiplayer. Though there's a large possibility it will have it. Did I say it did? Well, you did point out the XBox Live logo in a discussion about multiplayer without any further description, and then you went on to talk about whether or not the PC version will have it. IMO it would be pretty reasonable to assume that you implied that XBOX will have multiplayer.

0 Bishop Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 GTA 4 will be the final nail in the stagnation of gaming coffin

0 gooch Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I can guarentee you that GTA4 will have multiplayer if you go to the website, it says Xbox Live which dosnt necisarrily mean Multiplayer BUT, rockstar has been hireing network programmers lately which means online gameplay
0 Bishop Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Maybe those were hired for another game ? Or perhaps they are doing 2 player co-op ala San Andreas ? Or perhaps it´s for another psp milking project. /edit Two player co-op on PS2 obviously* (and the xbox?)
0 Erock Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 There's only the xbox live symbol because the Xbox 360 version of GTA4 will have updates and things added to the game as time goes on. PS3 doesn't get this because it's an exclusive deal with microsoft. There most likely won't be online play. The Xbox Live symbol is for the updates and new content they are planning to add the GTA4 after release.

0 Erock Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 They plan on adding stuff like missions and stuff. Obviously only usable in singleplayer cause I wouldn't think they'd make a co-op multiplayer. So don't plan on a multiplayer. I know I won't. (If there is I'll eat my hat and take a picture to prove it )
0 l2ebel Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 R* just announced anothe upcoming game for the ps2 named Bully http://www.rockstargames.com/bully/ looks like RAGE engine to me, looking promising
0 Gamefreek Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 They just announced? Bully has been announced for well over a year
0 Si|ent Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Doesn't look like the RAGE engine to me, more like Renderware as used in GTA3 and beyond. Sounds fun though, skooldaze in 3d at last. lets hope they pull it off.
0 MAD_BOY Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 yeah reb, bully has been announcd ages ago and obviously runs on renderware *hope for a pc release*
0 l2ebel Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 lol alright then looked kinda too good to me to be rw :f

0 Mnightmare Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I hope the person who invented Renderware gets shot. btw, does anybody know what engine Mafia ran on? Peace
0 {ULK}Dome Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 LS3D engine found in 3 seconds with google
