Why do you think the community would lose interest in something that doesn't even exist yet (San Andreas)?

This gives me an awesome idea for an ongoing server script. Everyone starts out with a small amount of cash and access to some crappy car and cheap weapons. They earn money by killing people or winning races and can then afford to buy better and better weapons and vehicles. All players must create accounts so the server can keep track of them and load their stats (money, vehicles and weapons owned, etc) every time they log on. The problem with this is that it will be very intimidating for new players to make their way up the ladder when everyone has an advantage over them.. but something like that would be cool. It would probably work better if it was race-related only, but that problem would still remain.

I don't think it would be too practical as there won't be a shitload of servers like in other games. You could just spend a minute or two popping into the servers that are occupied, and find them that way.

Maybe check the archives for the old media. The forum has died down a lot because there hasn't been a release for a while, but expect to see it liven up when SA is released.

Combine, Hotdog, Mower, and Sweeper are all equally useless, but the most ridiculous is without a doubt Hotdog.

All of these cars have different characteristics. Some are fast, but handle like crap, others handle well but can't keep up with the fast cars. Others like the Bullet have a good combination of speed and handling. My favorite would probably be the Cheetah, with Banshee in 2nd place just cause it looks so nice. Fastest three would probably be Hotring Racer, Infernus, and Turismo.

I believe the codename of San Andreas before it came out was GTA 4... Everything I heard now is that they stop ( maybe for a while ) making the GTA Games, since they worked non-stop on every new GTA I think theyre right taking a break. Don't know what they could do for a new GTA actually, the end is nearly reached. They could implent some new features wanted by players but you would've need to build a whole new city again, a whole new storyline, new missions etc. etc. Think the end is reached on that front Not suggesting it wouldn't be great if they wouldnt make a new GTA tho, just telling the facts Those are not facts at all. You're saying they have run out of ideas? There are no more places in the world to base a city on? Why can't they build a new city and new missions? Rockstar has more than enough resources to make a game twice as big as San Andreas. Even if they make a game very similar to the ones based on GTA3, it would sell well and there would be a profit to be made. And please show some evidence that shows they stopped making GTA or are taking a break. Where have you 'heard' all this?

BD never said all that Personally I like GTA3 most because of it's atmosphere. Vice city had a better atmosphere than SA imo, but I still prefer SA because of the huge map and all the new features.

GTA3 > GTA:SA > GTA:VC

'free roam outside of your vehicle' ? You can free roam and drive wherever you want but you cannot leave your vehicle and go on foot.

You commit a crime and wonder how the cops can come inside the shop you're hiding in. You sprint all the time and wonder why people stare at you.

Personally I think it's a good idea, but it definately won't be in the first release. You can put vehicle change pickups at the beginning of a race though so players can choose their car by driving through one.

use FRAPS to record in-game footage, and any editing program to put the clips together (like Windows Movie Maker).

because there is a crash.. MTA 0.5 isn't totally stable. your game doesn't crash because of the error reporter, the error reporter pops up because the game crashes.

try Partyserver GTA3 or Vice City, there are usually some pretty good stubby whores in there edit: 400th post

i dont think it would be very practical for this game, since it's easy to contact people via forums, irc, etc.
