You need v1.0 for MTA to run. Try patching your original .exe with this (if you haven't already): http://mtavc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15151 If you have any other mods installed, that is most likely the problem. MTA needs a clean installation of SA in order to run. Reinstall GTA:SA and make another install for mods if you wish.

There's not such thing as a 1.0 MTAVC.exe. There's a 1.0 gta-vc.exe and a 1.1 gta-vc.exe. To run MTA you should have the 1.1 gta-vc.exe.

Make sure you have no other mods installed, and that you have v1.0 of SA.

The problem is that if you pause the game, it CAN'T go on behind it all. If they could make it continue running while it was paused, they would.
