grammar isn't my speciality, plus that sentence wasn't really mine, it was only an addition to yours. the 1st version won't support gta3, as i said. but you also said: that means, in none of the upcoming versions built on blue won't support gta3 which isn't what you meant it was: lol.
-
ok ok, but this sentence is wrong then: it should be: I dont think you can dismiss the importance of GTA3 as you are either, the first release of Blue probably won't support it and the old core team were determined to get a decent, playable version out.
-
offcourse i would want it as well, but i can understand why the mta team isn't going to port it. with that, i meant that the 0.2 core is a real pain in the ass for the gta3 engine, and i guess mta blue isn't(or at least not as much as the 0.2 core). i don't know how well gta3 runs on all of the newest pc's(and future pc's), but there were a lot of ppl with a fast pc, who could even play gta vc with a very high resolution, without lag, but if they tried that in gta3, they had a low framerate, even with the lowest resolution.
-
ok ok the 0.2 core and thanks for clearing things up. i can understand that you guys won't convert mta blue to gta3, since gta3 is getting kinda old, and isn't so popular any more(one thing that proves that, is the amount of mods that will be released/have been released in the upcoming months/in the last few months for gta3). also i think gta3 doesn't really fit(i know there is a better english word for it, but it slipped my mind ) multiplayer, especially with gta3 mta ( look at the blue cars for example, the instability, and the total lockups). though mta blue would fit gta3 a lot more, since mta blue is suppose to be a lot smoother (although i still think gta3 needs another patch. i've read a topic at gtaforums about the issues related to gta3, and a lot of ppl there had a low framerate even with a pc that is much faster than the recommended system specs for gta3).
-
offcourse. and they are trying to improve the previous main gamemode vice city deathmatch(and some other fixes offcourse), but it still is being build on the same core so.
-
why? mta 0.5.1 is still being build on the 0.3 core, and that means a lot of limitations(in compare to mta blue). lol, maybe mta blue will turn into a "duke nukem forever" lookalike
-
hi, this question is about mta's current core and mta blue, and meant for the mta team. i was just wondering, why did you guys stick with the 0.3 core?, but still, features are very limited in compare to mta blue. especially when hearing stuff like " you will be amazed too" , "this is what mta was supposed to be like from the start", "animations will be almost like singleplayer. somewhere a teammember said that you guys did spent much time working on mta 0.5, and that there was less time left for working on mta blue (at that time), now you even have to develop a patch for it, which requires time. ok, a lot of things have been included since the first versions of the 0.3 core, like an improved gta3 support, increase of stability etc. but still, if you guys stopped working with the old core a long time ago, you could have finished blue earlier, and you could even have started porting it to gta3 i guess the argument "we want to keep the players busy until blue " is false, since some ppl were tired playing the same game, and weren't happy with some issues. and if you had stop working with the old core, you could have finished blue earlier, and so you would have kept the players busy (i know, this may sound like it's all that simple, but i'm still talking about theory, i know it will always turn out differently )
-
no, but maybe some breakthroughs?

like updating the mta blue info page.

http://www.gtaconnection.net/forum/inde ... wtopic=148 well done why

back then, there weren't high expectations about multiplayer for gta(3,vc), and since mta is still the most popular multiplayer mod for gta, i think new players back then really liked the idea of multiplayer in gta(3, vc), even with all the bugs( i didn't care about it either, for me it was the first multiplayer experience with a gta game). then mta blue was announced, and some other multiplayer mods really did show improvement in multiplayer for gta(although still not released). also mta 0.4 and mta 0.5 were almost the same as mta 0.3, with some pros and cons(for me it was more cons, but i wouldn't go back to mta 0.3r2 either). i think what i've said above+ the info that the mta team had given about mta blue, have caused that ppl have high expectations for blue( and for other multiplayer mods), which is why it's hard to keep ppl satisfied with the current mta versions or the versions released by other teams. in theory, mta blue will be as popular as the old mta versions(maybe even more popular, depends on how good it will be, and how much (new) ppl will find out and try mta blue )because both the expectations have grown, plus the technology(if it's true what the mta team, and the other teams have said). but we don't exactly know how the situation will be, so it's not really possible to give an answer to your question yankees yet.
-
yep, but also ppl of the same age/attitude as the members of SoL most dutch clans suck yes but not all. nah.
-
a while ago, i said something about the carkilling in gta3, (almost everybody i saw in the gta3 servers i was in was driving a vehicle to either carkill or avoid carkills). i still think its annoying, but i don't think it should be forbidden, its a part of the game. besides, staying alive isn't that hard......and in some situations carkilling is even funny( sometimes i accidentally carkilled somebody lol )
-
in holland we have a lot of clans that are similar to KB/SoL
-
thats bullshit, and you know that....
-
yeah, thats why it was so funny
-
right, so thats why the previous matches against VCES and TmM(when SoL had a different name, yes.....blizz likes changing the name of the clan...) went fine....
-
oh my god lol yes blizz is a kid who likes to start a new clan everyday, and his clan(s) don't follow the match rules. but the funny thing is, a while ago, some ppl were using the unlimited mologlitch against blizz and a friend of his , then they paused(they hated glitching). now blizz and his clanmates are glitching themselves HAHA
-
i think its not only with mta 0.5, i've seen a lot of glitchers, even before mta 0.5. but i think its not the only reason why its ruined now, i mean don't forget the changes of the weapon stats since mta 0.4, the attitude of some ppl(doesn't matter which version was/is the newest): for example, if you kill somebody, that person gets angry and starts flaming(or says things like carnoob, stubbynoob ), there isn't much respect. also the lack of improvement in gameplay(in vice city deathmatch, since it was the main gamemode, dont know which one is now), and as already mentioned: spawnkilling/camping(not just a few players, but almost everyone in the server). don't know about the amount of cheaters now, but a while ago it was a great threat, and they ruined the fun as well.(i guess there are more reasons, but these are the ones i can think of right now)

yes there are lots of mods for gta there are only a few multiplayer mods that have/had released versions, plus there isn't any advanched multiplayer mod for gta(3,vc and sa) yet, because they're either in the alpha- , or the beta stadium. though i think its better that there are not just one or two multiplayer projects that has had/ will have multiple releases, so ppl can choose whatever they like. -

ehm the site went down at the 2nd/3nd of january this year, its 8 april now. so where did you get those 6 months from? its more like 3 months. i dont know about the site, but they want the forum to be back up between now and one week(i guess the site will be back up as well by then, since draco uses the word again. why did it take so long? i don't know, they had an old backup of the site(the backup also included old stuff about the gtat league), but it seems they have the right back-up now. so gtat wasn't put on hold just because of the site, it's a lot more complicated then that, though the months of waiting thing is over. EDIT: it certainly is, but this a gtat topic -

i don't really know why it took 3 months, (since i don't know how important the league feature was for the gtat 0.5f core), but dracoblue and the rest of the gtat will continue working on gtat again -
lol! thats a piece of cake by the way, since only a few dutch clans still play mta
