    nice comparison, a multiplayer mod made by 3rd party developers, with a multiplayer mode added by rockstar themselves for the playstation portable

    offcourse there will be some glitches, but rockstar has the advantage of adding the multiplayer mode themselves ( more advanched gameplay, stable game etc.).

    not to diss the mta team or anything, but rockstar won't have to use the backdoor if you know what i mean.

    That's not sarcasm, it is just that if this sultiplayer goes well, Rockstar won't need to depend on some other developers to make a multiplayer mod if they start it themselves.

    so what if its on the psp? it still should be comparible with PC. i'm fed up of people cutting hendheld consoles slack just because their handheld, even thou by now they should almost match the specs of todays consoles anyway.

    No it shouldn't because it is in ad-hoc mode. You can only play with people in next to you, or just use tunneling software like XBC or Xlink. If we were able to play through infastructure mode, then it should be comparible with PC.

  2. Where does it say there will be AI peds and vehicles? I just see info on the three different game modes.
    Now that multiplayer is out there's all kinds of things we'd love for you elaborate on. Are there any particularly cool technical aspects you could share with us? Why six players?

    GH: Six players seems to be the sweet spot for us. It's enough players that you can get some seriously good competition going on and split into teams that are more than just two players each. On the other hand it's also a good number for us to implement multiplayer without having to sacrifice the things that make Grand Theft Auto great: an open, living world in a city that is populated by pedestrians, traffic and other ambient life. Any more than 6 and we would have had to pull those aspects of the game, a compromise we weren't willing to make.

    AI would have to be fully controlled by that one server, which can't know how they react without having GTA executed.

    Rockstar is doing co-op with peds and cars, I guess we can leave it to them for future GTA games if the LCS co-op is a sucess...

    GTA:LCS multiplayer will have AI peds and cars? where have you heard this? :shock:

    offcourse, they're certainly not going to focus on deathmatch. and in the end, they made GTA so :P

    Actually they have, "Liberty City Survivor" its called. Who knows? They could bring multiplayer to the new GTA games, which I hope they do. Then other mod teams can create multiplayer for the ones without, so they don't have to multi task with 2 or 3 games at a time then stop development for a while on both games.

    so my suggestion is, scrap 0.5.x for VC and release a gta3 only version, using the old core to its maximum potential. VC can always eventually have blue

    I agree, since there won't be a GTA 3 Blue (yet). At least do this after release 1 of the race mod.

  7. How about a seperate MTA program where it is like AIM. You have a chat option and a talk button. With the Talk button you could have all the people playing on the sevrer talk at the same tiem without contacting the Gameplay sevrer.

    Wow..your very late. MTA already has voice cha for the race mod.

  8. You can expect a lot of cheating if a lot of people know about that certain site. MTA can always be cracked, there is no such thing as an uncrackable software. It could take one man to do it all. Just hope that a lot of people don't know about cheating.
