Gotta be the walton...i love it cos its so crap but looks great or the moped(cos i cant say fa ggio )/pizza boy...the sound it makes makes me orgasmic and its handling sends that over the top in gta:3 gotta be the copcar as its just insane. fast, looks good, easy to roll

ok them rules look great, just a few additions Pickups: No pickups before the round begins, just spawn then head for base to get it underway asap, however during the round every pickup is allowed (maybe bar flamethrower, but im sure the flamer could add some laughs to the mix ) If your defence need pickups then i guess you'll have to sort that out by taking it in turns. The 1 attacking, 1 defending rule sounds good but obviously certain situations can be understandable About the vcc, disallowing it would make it smoother, but i guess you wouldnt have to respawn much and there would be enough people to watch out for glitchs so i am willing to allow the vcc If any unsyncage problems occour, all players effected must restart and allowed to return to base or any specified point. This will have to be announced in the server chat and trust people not to try and blindly fight 5v5v5v5 sounds good and 2 specs for each team if any spaces are left with teams not able to fill these 2 slots then speak now so we can let some outsiders watch. So with all this set we are ready for our 4-way, 8pm next wednesday (11th May) If anyone has a problem with this post here or contact someone

yup that sounds fine for us. We should be able to get enough, but remember to keep this under control we need ppl as calm as possible due to all the problems in 0.5 atm. If VCES could get some copies of the old rules that'd be great

Back in the days of 0.3 we all used to do a 4-way gangwar hosted by VCES. We had a few of these and they were amazingly good fun sadly however they died out during the anticipation for 0.4 FMJ and UVA have been talking and are planning on hosting another one very soon, sometime during next week in fact. Obviously we need 2 more clans to make it a 4 way and we need to know who is interested. The rules will be very similar to the old VCES ones but due to the unsyncage problems of 0.5 new rules are going to be introduced. These may cause huge problems but if everyone has the right attitude towards this then it should work great. We are looking for clans that would do this for fun rather than to win and can be trusted not to do certain things therefore the 2 other clans will not be first come first serve. If there is enough interest and we feel it can work with the people involved i will post rules and set a date, but id like to get it sorted soon as most of FMJ are itching to do this

Thought we were missing a rules thread so heres my take on them Ground rules The basic rules 1) No modding/cheating/trainers/hacking etc. 2) No pausing during any round, and is recommended no pausing at all. 3) No glitching, however it must clear to both sides what is meant by glitching 4) 3 rounds. 1 attack, 1 defense, 1 Free for all/Team deathmatch: -Teams should choose a specific base with easily marked parameters to define the base area. -Only 1 unspecified member of the team has to be in this area at all times whilst defending. -Once both teams are ready one clan will attack the others base. And the second round this will be reversed -Once a person dies then they are not allowed to respawn and they are out of the round. -Round 3 is a free for all round where every person roams free. Once a person is killed then they are out of the round. General Match rulesRules that can be used for when you play untrustworthy clans and avoids most unplesentries 1) Any spawn but the Vice city crusader may be used. (This is due to the armor bug making some clans feel uncomfortable) 2) No pickups before any round begins, however pickups off dead bodies may be used. 3) Car killing allowed. 4) Helikill's disallowed, however heli's can be used for transportation for both teams in any of the 3 rounds. 5) Even sides (usually 5v5 - 8v8 ) 6) No defending in the 3rd round. This would be setting up all/most of your members in specified positions in any base-like area that may seem pre-planned, however fighting can occur in these areas. 7) Bases must not include any loadable interiors or warp points. (Bank, Stadium etc.) 8 ) Bases must be reachable by foot. Any part of the base unreachable by foot is not part of the base and any player in these areas will be defined as out of base. However it is understandable to allow this player to get back "into" their base if they are the only defending player left. 9) Bases cannot be spawn points. 10) If a player crashes and is deemed in combat they are out of that particular round. However if that player is deemed out of combat then they may respawn. On the event on any rule being broken the effected clan can decide weather to continue the round, redo the round, claim the round or cancel the match depending on the severity of the rule broken. (I.e. A helikill will normally result in a redo, however cheating would cancel the match) Popular modified rulesRules which can be used with more trusting clans which allows more freedom but can induce problem explained below in green 1) Pickups: - Shotty pickups allowed, but other pickups disallowed. (This gets rid of any problems with cop cars, however lowers usage of the cop) - All pickups allowed but the flamethrower, Molotov's and grenades where these are not to be used by the spawn characters either. (This gets rid of any possible nade/molie glitching, but reduces the overall weapons you can use, completely riding of fire and explosions) - All pickups allowed but the flamethrower. (This gives less attention on what spawn people choose and will take longer to set up, however giving players more options and therefore better rounds and satisfies players uncomfortable with the flamer thrower strengths) - All pickups allowed. (Same as above but people are happy playing with and against the flamethrower) 2) Vehicles: - Car kills and helikills disallowed. (Makes it mostly a weapons fest, however accidents do happen which could cause problems) - Car kills and helikills allowed. (Ads more of a GTA feel to the match and could prove some proper good fun, however people believe helikills are too easy) 3) Bases: - Any base can be used including loadable interiors, high bases, and spawnpoints. (This allows more variety in what you defend, however this opens up some "stupid bases" and can frustrate attacking players) - Spawnpoints may be used. (This wouldn't open it up as much as any base allowed and could be used even with lest trustworthy clans but can cause trouble on un-even sided matches) 4) Un-even sides: - Players can play as normal, just with less people 8v5 or so forth. (This would have to agreed with the disadvantaged team, however can prove some good old fun) - Players can play as normal however the amount of players they have less than the opposing team is given to them in respawns. These may be taken by any dead member of the team at any time and this who takes them does not have to be specified before hand. (This can make a match fairer for any uneven side, but it just isn’t the same ) 5) Any spawn is allowed. (This allows people to use the crusaders advantages, however is recommended player against trustworthy players or keeping a good eye out ) Any additions or suggestions more than welcome

hmm too bad it isn't easy to check that My thoughts exactly. If you could trust any player restarts his game after spawning as VCC this wouldn't be a problem, but there are people who love to abuse things like this in clanwars/servers/etc, this rule just prevents anyone from using the Armour bug/glitch (whatever you want to call it)... There are people around who don't even know about the whole armour glitch thingy as well... Well if you can't trust the other clan then why would you play them?? esspecially if you can't trust them to not cheat as this glitch is just cheating. If i saw anyone try and do this during a war i would ban on spot (unless there was enough proof to say it was accidental ) I still see no reason to ban vcc all together as again this effects anyone but the vcc ps: to be honest, i just don't think you like to fight fire as that was what we kept getting from KB other day (no vcc, no fire etc)

^exactly You just proved my point there. If you DID do this armor glitch you'd have to be sailor, or a robber or any of the other spawns, so WHY does banning crusader from being in the round change anything apart from taking yet another thing from this game (due to silly logic)

Sorry for bumping this thread but i have think ive just found where KB got that silly no spawning vice city crusader rule heh, give me 1 good reason why crusader should be banned!? there is no glitch that should prevent someone from using the crusader, the glitch effects everyone BUT the damn crusader (...ok and cop) the 100 armor they get from this is completly legal and i hate to see stupid rules like this. just trust the other clan not to armor glitch. Its not that hard to spot, they would have to kill themselves somehow and if they go to loads of trouble to break a rule then stopping them being crusader during the round won't stop them either bah

looking at how you tryed to claim the victory after the carkill seems a bit lameish If you didn't state that rule at the start then don't expect it to be followed just because you believe carkilling is wrong, and you cant expect everyone to have read your rules on the forums just a head up for if you ever want to play us (haha look at me, Pro-carkilling ambassador these days )

Well i believe that element of surpise and the fact it can happen anywhere anytime is literally great and takes away that dull, repetative drizzle of most other mp games. And if that wasn't enough theres a bonus that there is protection against it in the shape of a radar. This may not be much and it may be hard to use but what else could you possibly want. And even if they do get you, it only takes 10-20 secs to spawn again so get back out there and deal some allmighty pain ps: Think he is saying that if carkilling is so easy, carkill yourself.

ok, some-one runs up, 1 shot stubby kills you (or at least gets you to floor then finishes you) or nades you or chainsaws you...etc. so what's the difference?

meh! I guess so, but that's more an idea to get rid of carkillers or the possibilty of being carkilled, i meant discussion. I justed wanted to see reactions and/or reasons for or against and i agree that a server should be admined any way the owner of the server disires (aslong as it is within the EULA ) so i'm not trying to sway people one way or the other, just looking for opinions and maybe give some people a different perspective on it. And this is probably more of a gta3 disscussion rather than a VC one as I have found "this rule" more common on gta3 servers, which i believed had something to do with carkill=instantkill which personally i believe is better and more realistic (and a whole lot funnier )
