As far as I've tested in singleplayer, you're still able to use your gamepad to steering, even when there's keyboard+mouse set. In MTASA they both work as well.. just the matter of different aiming on the gamepad when keyb+mouse is set (opposed to the 'gamepad' setting).

Yes, the problem is known and they'll eventually add some sound/video options under that menu. It's unclear though, on which release they'll do it.

The easiest 'way' to activate your account is to contact either Harry or Kent767 on our irc channel - #mta @ irc.multitheftauto.com, and pm them your mta center username. (yes.. late answer)

Are you sure that you forwarded the ports correctly? Since sounds like they aren't forwarded too well, or there's a problem with them. You could also try using different client port (and obviusly, diff. ase port as well), like 22004, and 22127.

This one looks much better than the previous one I think that the font used is good already, but could be better. Looks nice as well, but imo the text isn't visible too well. Everything else is fine though

That loading screen looks pretty nice, although I'd suggest using some different font colour, or something.. The upper parts of the text on above are hardly visible.

Also, if they kill you all the time on one server, I'd suggest going to another, preferably from the same country you're on... Gaining some skill is just a matter of time.

There's not much we can do about it, if anything. We don't have a control over people's servers nor admins. Basically their server == their rules. The only things you can do is to either email admins of that server regarding their abuse, or to play on some other server.

I believe that a DSL/Cable connection should be enough for it, just like for any other multiplayer game.

Not much to update people on at the moment, hence the relative infrequency of the blog posts recently. We're all working hard on Deathmatch and all the pieces are finally coming together now. Once we've got all the features in that we want - we're almost there - we'll be following the same process we did with Race 1.0, using our Quality Assurance team to test the mod thoroughly. We hope that this testing stage will be shorter than Race 1.0's (which took almost 3 months!), but its hard to tell at this stage. Many of the issues we fixed for Race would have affected Deathmatch too, so this should be easier. We've still got a few interesting features for Deathmatch up our collective sleeves, so watch this space for the first information on these over the next few weeks! Ed

I don't think that scripts ruined the gameplay. It's more like people themselves did it. 0.5 vc itself was worse than e.g. 0.4.1 though, so I guess it had to do something with it as well. As for the rest of topic, we'll see what future holds for us. I'm pretty sure that it has only good things for us

We're interested in having some feedback on what you think the MTA Center (http://center.mtasa.com) is missing - how it could change and any suggestions you have generally for it. We want to make the center a hub for all sorts of things that our community would like. We've just released Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas Race 1.1.1. Head over to the download page to get it! You will still be able to play on 1.1.0 servers using this release, and players with 1.1.0 will still be able to play on 1.1.1 servers. We obviously recommend that everyone updates though. Changes in 1.1.1: Fixed: Freezes that occurred frequently for some users (and not at all for others) Fixed: Nothing would happen after the splash screen appeared for some users Fixed: All players getting kicked from a server with a "protocol error 92" message Fixed: Players getting stuck in "You will respawn in 1 second" mode, if a race starts before they join completely Fixed: Issue where error reporter would sometimes fail to find core dump Fixed: Occasional crash when connecting to a server through the server browser Fixes: Various other crashes Added: An error message is now displayed if you try to use the 'order checkpoints' option in the map editor if you have no checkpoints in your map Added: DefaultMapDuration and DefaultRespawnTime to server config As always, if you have a problem check our wiki and our forum. Just thought I'd post a quick reminder to server administrators: The anti-cheat only updates when you start your server. Currently, this means we recommend that if you have anti-cheat enabled, you restart your server from time to time (say once every 24 hours) to make sure you have the latest detection file. Obviously, this is optional, but we do release updates every now and then that detect new cheats, so being up-to-date is generally a good idea! We do intend to make it so that updates can be downloaded automatically without restarting the server at some point, but for now, restarting is the only way.
