You probably didn't understand it correctly - the problem appears when you have such characters in ANY place within your gta or mta path, doesn't have to be gtasa folder itself or mta one.
Try installing/moving GTASA to something like D:\GTASA , then install mtasa to D:\MTASA and see if the problem will be resolved (it should be.)
Thanks for your review/opinion, RA.
We are aware of most of these, especially regarding gamemodes and maps currently included in the package - some of them will be removed from the release resource pack due to being old, incompatible at times, and most importantly - abandoned. Problems like these are just as bad as game bugs, and we will be working on resolving them before the final 1.0 release.
It's due to the fact that Vista limits write-access for non-admin processes in Program Files directory. Files get written in that VirtualStore dir instead of real Program Files folder.
Either run the server application with administrative rights, install/move MTA to a different drive, or just bear with it.
Getting 1.0 released is currently the top priority, we might (and most likely will) eventually add the support for other game versions in some future release.
Yes. German 1.0 exe doesn't work with MTA - use the upgrader patch from below to make it compatible with it:
https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtop ... 89&t=15151
You either should have all the needed resources, or none at all.
I've got a suggestion for you - totally uninstall MTASA which you've got installed at the moment (possibly backup first any files which might be some use to you, like custom resources, screenshots etc.), then install the nightly as said here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtop ... 43#p289710 . There is no need for installing dp2 as a base for it.
Install latest dx9.0c routines: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 6652cd92a3
Also, you might be able to move that error box - right click on that 'Error!' tab in the bar, and press 'Move'. Then move your mouse or use arrow keys to move it.
You probably installed the data files wrong then. Check your MTA San Andreas\MTA directory. There should be a libcurl.dll in there, if there isn't, read again my first sentence and then reinstall data files.
I've heard that it's quite complex to implement, and that's the problem here. Notice that this isn't like you're first person who requested this.
This will be worked on at some point most likely, definitely after 1.0 is released.
You might have an outdated acl.xml if you had used nightlies in the past. So remove it properly, and then see this topic for instructions on how to get nightly and map editor to work.
Try installing the new nightly and see if the problem will still occur. Could be caused by a revision-specific crash due to incompatibility with 1.0 EU exe, which should be fixed in the newest build.
See if these advices will help: http://development.mtasa.com/index.php? ... ash_screen
It could be also caused by a gta_sa.exe file that's incompatible with MTASA. Currently only 1.0 EU/US exes are supported.
If it's Vista and MTASA was installed in the default location, I'd rather seek it in:
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\mods/map_editior/maps
It's due to the way Vista handles access to program files when using a program with normal (non-administrative) rights.
