  1. That's actually not the case We are aware of this issue. A full decision hasn't been made yet so that's why you don't see any replies from us.

    Show FPS

It used to be, but it wasn't reliable. It's better to use Fraps for measuring framerate.

    Mtarace Server browser

Keep in mind that we have little to none control over the provider of MTASA query servers (game-monitor.com) which is powering the Racemod's server browser, so we don't have any plans of turning off race's server browser whatsoever. In case it goes down though for any reason, we don't intend to make updates to MTASA Racemod 1.1.x to resolve the problem as support will be only provided for the newest MTASA releases. That said, we encourage you to upgrade to MTASA 1.0.x as there is honestly no reason not to do so. You're not being forced to any type of gameplay in there - you might just stick to Race-only servers if you like. They are greatly improved in pretty much every way when compared to older mod, especially if you take in mind customisation and features, yet the core gameplay is still the same as it was in Racemod 1.1.x. If there is any specific reason why you don't want to upgrade to MTASA 1.0.x, please tell us what it is, so we can work towards fixing the problem, or help/guide you with upgrading.
  4. The next point release for our best mod to date is out: Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas 1.0.2. One of our developers, ccw, did a tremendous job with resolving the most frequent problems and bugs from earlier releases. Major changes are fixes for a number of occasional crashes and assertions plus some improvements for our race gamemode, as part of the mtasa-resources project. As always, the full list of changes can be found in the Changelog on our roadmap. This release is of course fully compatible with the servers running on older versions (1.0 / 1.0.1), so there should be no problems with compatibility once you upgrade. --- It's worth noting that several interesting Multi Theft Auto related projects have been started by some of our fellow developers, since the decision was made to open-source our project (and allow more insight for everyone) a while ago. One such project is the MTA Script Editor (MTASE), a development environment/editor for Multi Theft Auto resources that is being created by a group of dedicated developers. The software incorporates some nice features such as a Lua and XML syntax checker and highlighter, resource management, extensive support for testing, and is a future candidate for an official IDE that may be distributed with Multi Theft Auto. Additional information on MTASE, as well as it's latest alpha version 0.2.6 can be found on the MTASE Wiki page and Forum topic.
  5. Yes, it's a known issue which is fixed in the next release (1.0.1).

    MTA is off

    Does single player work?
  7. jhxp

    Map Editor failed...:(

Yeah, having port forwarding off means that you are not forwarding any port, so it's wrong. You need to enable it and set it to forward these required ports.
  8. What norby suggested is a good idea. Anyone fancy making/adding such a script to Community ? I have dealt with these resources, [RTS]Satan. Thanks for reporting them.

    Map Editor failed...:(

You need a full installation of MTASA (Client and Server option) for using map editor. As for letting your mate to join to your server, do what Gamesnert suggested, and you will also need to increase the player limit (the maxplayers server variable) for the map editor in its settings file (MTA San Andreas\server\mods\deathmatch\editor.conf). Make also sure that all ports mentioned in that file (22010 udp and 22011 tcp) are opened and forwarded correctly, and not in use. Some tips for forwarding can be found here: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/index.ph ... forwarding
  10. As you can see in the link I've posted above, it's not just a problem with firewalls. If you use a router through which you connect to the internet, you need to forward required ports in order for server to appear on the browser. If the ports are forwarded correctly (and you are certain of that) and the server still doesn't appear in the browser, keep it running for an hour or so, it will eventually appear there.
  11. This point from our Server Manual could also be useful: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/index.ph ... forwarding
  12. It's explained on our wiki: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/index.ph ... web_server

    Counter strike script

Do you mean a stealth gamemode? It's included with the MTASA server default gamemodes.
  15. Yes, and that is exactly why you should do that instead of basing it off an uberbuggy 0.5, which you are not likely to gain or learn anything useful from, to say the least. What is so interesting in these sources that you desperately need them anyway, in regards of porting MTA Blue from MTASA to Vice City? Game modes? They can be scripted (if you port Lua engine from MTASA, which probably is not that hard). Game logic/offsets? You can probably find them in gtamodding sites/forums. Like Lordy said, gather a team of skilled c++/asm programmers, analyse current MTASA source, plan what do you want to do and THEN contact us. If we find your plans being worthwhile, we will provide you some support needed to get it going. We are aware that there is a bunch of people who would love to see a Vice City multiplayer experience powered by the MTA Blue core (myself included), but without an organised and separate development team for it, it is not going to happen.

    MTA problem.

Are you trying to install 1.0 in the same directory as dp2.3 ? Install it in a different one.
  17. Get the latest DirectX along with current sdk updates: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 6652cd92a3
  18. Looks like you didn't install resources with the server. Reinstall MTA using a full Client and Server installation.

    2 Major Issues

Or before reinstalling, try to remove your gta_sa.set file (located in My documents\GTA San Andreas User Files), then start gtasa again. If it starts and works, MTASA should work as well.

    Map Editor not working

Are you sure you've installed the mod correctly? Just in case, reinstall it using Client and Server option in the installer.

    if i join a server

It's not outdated. Server owners have to build a 1.0 server (using code from branches/1.0 ) in order for it to work with 1.0 client, along with the network library for 1.0 (currently latest one available)
  22. Guess you'll have to contact your server provider directly about upgrading to 1.0.
  23. In case you don't know how to add yourself as an admin to your MTASA server, it's explained here: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/index.ph ... nistrators
