well i had ur problem on some servers but my ping was like over 1000 to 20000 lol...all i can think of is lag...maybe u can try reinstalling mta? or even better the whole game...that's my guess

Im not sure that the mta client is telling u that ur files had been modded cuz of the cd crack....im saying this cuz i know a guy who usually doesnt buy his games lets just say and i know his vc works fine with mta vc cuz i played him on a server (and was whiping me) ...i guess maybe u just need to reinstall...oh, u said ur cd rom is screwed up...sorry man got no ideas if u had any mods just uninstall it i guess...

Guys, whoever is crashing is either using a mod, non official files, TRAINERS AND/OR CHEATS (which DONT work with mta) OR is not picking the right version of their games in the MTA main window....I am very very amazed that the mta team can do such a great job for a game that was not planned as an online game.....so it not their fault, its mostly URS( im talking to the ppl who keep getting their games crashed)...Im not saying the mod is perfect or anything cuz Yes the server crashes once in a while but if u ask Why? i would answer because someone probably joined that server and probably had a mod or was cheating or anythign that i said above. mta team, great job on the new release

You can also do the following: Refresh ASE, click once on the server u want to connect to, Press CTRL+C to copy the ip address of the game, start gtamta, paste the ip in there (CTRL+V) make sure that u erase the :2003 part from the ip cuz that identifies the port but there is already a port thingy in mta, and then click connect

Yes.....Unfortunatly people are so exited about playing online except they forget 1 little tiny itsy bitsy problem...U gotta choose ur version of the game...and the right one of course or ull crash right after the game loads....well at least that is what usually happens to me when i choose the wrong version....anyways dont forget to set ur version to the correct...........uhh....version...that's the word.

I dunno how many times ppl said this on this forum for GTA3:MTA and GTAVC:MTA but Use The all-seeing-Eye program you can find it and download it here http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html and ull be all good...ull find many servers instead of just one......

lol ud be crazy if u install longhorn cuz longhorn is not even a beta yet....its not a complete operating system..ppl who download it make their own codes and stuff to make that windows work at this stage..i dont suggest u installing longhorn if u got it cuz ull go ....."HUH why cant kazaa start??? My answer to that is No u cant and im pretty sure u cant and it is a smallll bug other wise it would work. U ask why it doesnt work and i will answer When u try to go in a car from the passenger side, ur guy will go in and will push out a "ghost" (that ghost happens to be the 1 of the other players ur playing with). Now the other player and u will have control of the car lol...and geez U wanna go left and he wants to go right....and go ahead and try to get out...cuz u cant the Other player has to get out and some stuff happen like respawning in some other place and having cars over u and stuff like that..so i would say dont try it cuz ull crash ur and/or the other player[s computer... it happened to me and 1 sob took the car from me and my connection to the server was disconnected....he got the car and i really got pushed out lol...from the server I hope they can fix this in .4

The good thing is : 1. Cars flip and dont blow up (cuz if they did a game would last about 10 mins lol ) 2. U can stayin them and not get hurt by the shooting the BAAAAd thingS are: 1. If the car is under the rail road thing, it will spawn in an unknown place 2. eventually the cars will run out becuase too many ppl on a server r doing too many stunts and they put themselves and the cars in a shitty place and cars will disappear 3. Cars do spawn at some place if they dont disappear...But WHERE? Some cars spawn some place i never go to proably and some cars spawn in a total other place than where they flipped. So is it just me or is everyone having the same issue as me? i hope in the next version we would have ALOT more cars and alot less car confusion on where to respawn...or even better make cars blow up and new cars will be replaced by old cars... plz any moderator who reads this take it into condsideration... Agent....I really think u should lay of CS for a while ...GTA3 and CS have 2 different ENGINESSS....so just cuz u can get to console by pressing ~ in CS doesnt mean u can do it in GTA3...and im sure the ppl making this mod will come up with something ...right?

SOLUTIONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN PPLLLL SPAM SPAM SPAM...lol jk ...its just that im too happy and MTA TEAM GO ...HOLY COW!!! .3 RULZ I HAD NO LAG AT ALL....its like playing single player except doing kickass stunts with other players ...this mod is great and i dont know how u gonna make it better....U guys r asking howw the hell did i get it to work ....1 solution: FORMAT YOUR COMPUTER PPL AND INSTALL WINDOWS XP...that is the eassssssssiest way that i have found lol....I suggest ppl with windows ME that they should format that $h!ty windows and install windows xp...let me tell u why u should install windows xp...CUZ as i believe the mod was PRODUCED on windows xp so its not that hard to figure out (except for me ) that if the mod worked on the creator's computer that had windows xp it must work if i get windows xp...and that is what happend with me. Like an idiot, i had installed windows ME for some reason (im not sure i was drunk, stonned, or in my imagination), and installing windows ME is the last thing u guys wanna do...its the worst operating system out there...windows 98 is freaking better for god's sake. I dont know how u guys gonna get windows xp but if u love this game and u really wanna play it online i think it is worth it. ur gonna get the best results if u have windows xp. By the way, sorry i forgot to mention that i have Cable internet. SUMMARY FOR PPL WHO DONT WANT TO READ MY ESSAY UP THERE: I got my problem solved. it was a windows ME issue. if u got windows me get rid of it, trust me.

Hello fellow murderers and gangisters.... I have a problem that i tried to search for and didnt find my answer, so here it is. Now i dont know if i do the connecting right..but so far i have seen other players playing for like 2 secs...i mean....I See the green dots moving for a couple of seconds then i get disconnected. EVERTIME i try to connect to a server, i get a successfull connection! then, I request for the game And it happens, and when i Go back INTO GTA3 (alt+tab ) I see ppl moving for 2 to 3 seconds ONLY then everything would just stop and 1 character just keeps running until he hits the wall(a known bug). Now i tried to connect to different servers....same thing...it took me about 5 connects to finally figuring out "wait a sec. wtf im getting disconnect" . i know it sounds funny but listen to this... I found out that the only way for me is to stay on windows and not go in the game, so technically others would see my character standing still while i am on windows. i found out 1 way that i can stay connected and play and guess what that way was...if u actually figured it then ur smart but im sure u guys rnt gonna figure this one out . I have to keep going in and out of the game (ALT+TABssss) so I press alt tab and go in and play for 1 sec then i press alt tab again to go to windows and to the gameserver thing and then i go back and ....and back out . and if i get out too late, i will get disconnected. the funny thing is the game server say that i am Still connected but i know that i am disconnected because of the ping . when i am on windows the ping keeps changing (WHICH MEANS that I gotta be connected to the server) when i go in and stay in the game for 5 secs and go back out I see that my ping has either frozen or stopped working or i dont know....it would just stay on a very low 1to 5/s FROZEN so for example only stays on 2.12 and not change. now isnt that funny...but its saadddddddd. i cant play online i need help plz ppl ...any suggestion on how to get the game to work i would reallllllly apreciate it so plzzzz reply with any guess and ill try it anyways (I dont have anything to lose cuz i can just install in 1 min) so anything from deleting to renaming..i will take everything and try it....Moderators PLZZZZZZZZZ help me too cuz ur the ppl that made this great mod and im sure ur the ppl that will know most of my issue. The following is what i got on my pc: Windows ME ....I know its crappy so u can laugh about that 2.4 GHz intel 512 MB DDR ram ATI Radion 9000 pro 128 mb DDR ram....(for some reasonnnnn, my game gave me an error that said "GTA3 requires at least 16 mb video card"...LOL WTF... i restarted and worked fine..i guess.) sound blaster 5.1 any other question just reply for this and i will be happy to answer for u so u guys can plzzzzzzzzzz help me, the poor man with lots of problems

hey guys Ya Blokker , I believe everyone in this forum knows that this program u guys made is still in alpha state...and i knew that when i posted this topic, but as i see alot of ppl are having great time, and i cant say anything but great job so far. uve made something that impressed the makers of GTA3, no doubt. I didnt know why my topic that i posted got locked (it was on general disscussion i think) but maybe the admin that locked it didnt understand what i was saying....THERE IS ALOT of info about making a server and hosting it(he should have gotten that part) but wen i tried to make my point about not having enough info on the CONNECTING process...not the hosting process, he propibly didnt get me and locked the topic...i just want to make sure he got me that is all . but now it is obvious that alot of the ip browsing thing in the program isnt very acurate, but still sometimes works with some ppl. anyways my mric isnt working...and how can i get to #gta3mp or quakenet or whatever that is that has mor info about the servers from mric or a website?(im not very familliar with this program yet). thx !

I forgot to include my stuff I have Win. XP radeon9000 512MB DDR ram 512MB ram Cable internet connection 2.4Ghz Intel what else do i need to include? I included my stuff ^ there just cuz i felt like it...i dont think it will help with anything anyways, cuz i dont get the sign that i am connected to anything...except the server thing hehe.....

hi, i just wanted to know if anyone knows if anybody is making some instructions for ppl who are connectiong. all i have seen is just if u want to make a server..all that says in the .2 is the client has to "click join game" . i think there should be more stuff said about connecting to a server. Many ppl r having hard time connecting...(I wish there was something that tells if the server is full or isnt hehe).
