okay , here are some numbers Currently online Battlefield Vietnam Players: 2207 Thats not that much , but , only becfause the BFV website counts the number of players using GameSpy. If I look in the ASE , I get: 34152 Players / 1661 servers (that would be about 34 players per server. So , I think thats more then there are people online with SOCOM. Oh , and Dawgy is right , the XBOX is 700MhZ , and a modern PC is 2.8GhZ. Also , JohnChappel is right , afcource , and im sorr i made such a mistake. I wont do it again. But , its just true , PC's will allways look better (as in grapics and sound). Feel better (as in mouse vs. controller). And can do more (as in word proccessing , drawing , calculating , surfing etc.). No offense to consolle users afcource! Mr.Xanni

There are more PC users then XBOX users There are more PC users then PS2 users There are more PC users then GameCube users XBOX+PS2+GC users together are more then PC users No consolle can ever beat the PC. I got a 2 year old PC , and I can still play the latest games So , it doesnt outdates THAT fast! Mr.Xanni

I just think that they shouldnt develop games for consolles anymore , there are much more PC users , and PC can handle much more then any console (including the slow 1.2 GhZ XBOX). So i voted Yes. Wake up people , consoles are DEAD , PC's will keep existing , even if Microsoft ever goes bankrupt. Release date for PS2 SA , October or something , release date for PC : May 2005 , in that much time , im sure they will imrpove many things Also , GTA3 draws the eyes better then VC. Mr.Xanni

Please , dont call cheaters / people that use glitches hackers , hackers are programmers , people that want to know how something works , cheaters are just noobs who cant win a game , so they cheat Believe me , thats a bad idea. Only 0.1 procent of the registered forum users knows how to use C++. Aprox. 10% is cheater. People may release "bugged" versions of MTA with trojans etc. Think about it , why would MTA work with Linux and not with MTA Mr.Xanni

i was joking there Have you ever played Novalogic's new game , Joint Operations : Typhoon Rising it allowed me to run a 128 (or something like that) player server without lag , and if novalogic can do it... So it IS possible , and if only people with fast connections connect the lag will be minimum Mr.Xanni

Java works on Linux too I used to use Suse , but its to oversized Im back to WinXP , and I like it , in a year , I will install Linux again

it was an addon for the GTA3 Admin Consolle. It wasnt that great , and its useless playing MTA 0.1 if 0.41 is allready released , its much , and MUCH better Mr.Xanni

maybe its an idea to use a service intregrated in SP2 for WinXP , the programmer (The MTA team in this example) , can use it to only give an other programm (an addon) acces to gta-vc.exe , and not other processes and folder. Or you could write some code that prevents acces to anything outsite the Grand Theft Auto Vice City folder Jsut suggestions... Mr.Xanni

I think the frame limiter is a great idea , if it makes your game jerky , then try updating your grapic drivers and sound card drivers Also , try to install unofficial drivers , they usualy are better , or install the 1.1 patch Mr.Xanni

I remember that the first MTA client used to start with WineX , I could even get to the VC menu with some tweaking , but when I was trying to start the game , it crashed right after drawing the chatbox... Also , you can use Emule (metioning eMule isnt illegal isnt it? , freedom of speech ) to get "the stuff you need". Getting PartitionMagic might be a good idea , also , why are you so afraid for logging in as root? if you got your iptables right , it shouldnt be a problem , and a hacker must be reley lucky to pick your IP out of a couble of BILLION on the internet Also , Cedega is quite stable , and doesnt ruin your Linux config anymore when ran when logged ina s root Mr.Xanni
