While i complain for having low fps in mta you are complaining for having high fps its funny though, does higher FPS make you faster than you should? cause thats weird

many people dont know how to report bugs on the bug tracker, for example there are just people that download the client only, without caring whats on the rest of the site, when they see this error reporter it should be a lil' helpfull.

How about an error reporter, lets say the client crashes, an error message shall come up asking if you will like to send the error or not, like a windows 'Dont send' OR 'Send', which would probably send the dumps or somethin. And also the user should have an option to write a short message about how this error occured.

Please next time use the search button, A #8 download error is just a timeout coming from the server, reconnecting should solve this

Only you cant see your server but your friends can, i have a lil' trick, if your ip is static, after playing on your server go to the mta menu and go to 'browse servers' and 'recently played', find your server and add it to favourites, ***NOTE*** if you have a dynamic ip then it wont work

You dont have to add your server like in sa-mp, if you read the console when starting your server, it says that it is registering with http://www.game-monitor.com meaning it does it for you automatically.

There have been many topics like these, no one can see their own server in the browser, so just use quick connect

You're basically saying that only people living close should be allowed to, but yet people from far away should be able to too. What's the difference? =/ Besides, still does NOT solve the bandwidth problem. It still needs to go from client to server to multiple others. Devs & open sources could better focus on the bugs, synch and features that don't have such a big downside IMO. Later on, in version... 9941364631343136435484 or something... It could be added. But there's more to do than only this... =/ This is just a feature, im not saying that the devs should work on this instead of bugs.

75% of the times I get timeouts while trying to connect to the server, i keep on insisting but i still get timeouts, to fix this problem i must restart mta, also "host a game" dosent work, i choose my resources and when the window comes up "starting local server" it remains and nothing happenes, and ive given it enough time. And Gamesnert still crashes when he kills a player, the rest for all but in other gamemodes, is stealth fixed now?

Although that matters quite a bit, it doesn't matter. It still costs quite much bandwidth to send the data client-server-clients. It uses valuable bandwidth that could be used for much better synch, better scripts or more players. Besides, aren't there server-hosting places where you need to pay for bandwidth? Besides, I personally don't see the use anyway. If you still want it, use an external application. This idea should be mainly used locally, meaning users living close to each other, but could also be of very far away too, thats why there should be an option for it.

I had this same problem but for GTA3, i also downloaded that .dll and placed it and didnt work (tried both the GTA3 directory and WIN32 folder) but nothing seemed to work, its probably my rubish pc but anyways

Its actually been a dream for me playing mta LAN, i could play cod LAN now imagine mta the freeroam with no lag or some stealth gamemode to find out who is really the talented!

we explained everything to lil_toady @IRC so ill explain again... I hardly had the crashes only in stealth but that was the gamemode itself, all the others seemed to keep crashing when someone shoots at them, ill tell you how...everythime i was in a hunter and started fireing at everyone, their clients crashed, Gamesnert keps crashing on Interstate 69 while others werent, infact Gamesnert didnt even manage to play at all and for some reason i had the most stable client.

we have a server non 24/7 @ 81.205.3.59:2003 we have also converted out own gamemode called BFSA which was also on DP2. So if ya want come join the server. I think the nightly's are for testing purpose only. He does have a point here, are you going to test and search for bugs on your own? no i dont think so, same for public beta's, the dev's do them to see how their version goes well with alot of players.

I WAS going to BUY GTAIV, but i am not going to waste my money now. It comes with SecuRom. Now, a Lot of you are thinking "Whats wrong with that?" Here comes the rant..... If you want to install a Trojan on your computer, Go ahead and Buy GTAIV. Because SecuRom has verry Trojan-Like Behaviour. First of all, it Fully intergrates with the Windows Kernel, making it almost impossible to remove without formatting. Secondly, i love this one, If you download an addon FROM MICROSOFT for Task manager, that allows the showing of Hidden Processes and other such Nasty's, SecuRom will REFUSE to allow you to run ANY SecuRom Protected games. i myself have this MS Addon, because i like to know what is "Hiding" on my computer. Thirdly. Its not just limited to that, if theres anything on your PC it dosent like, it will Refuse to allow the game to load. Fourth. It Reports Personal data back to SecuRom HQ. <- Sounds like a bloody trojan to me. oo, and here is somthing ELSE fun that i found. It has VERRY Rootkit like behaviour and i Quote: Now if you go and run rootkit revealer... It finds a rootkit hidden in the registry. furthermore if you check Then you'll find that the directory is full of files which have characters windows isnt normally allowed to use, you CANNOT delete these files by normal means, you cant rename them by normal means and they are also hidden from the user and protected from being edited. Now if Sony think thats not (another) rootkit, then please, why dont we just change the definition of rootkit so it excludes anything that sony make and be done with it? Either way, BAD :~. i will NOT buy the game BECAUSE of this crap in the game. I was going to, but now i will just wait for a Pirate Release with that crap removed. /me slaps brophy The progress bar really wasn't accurate but it's been there years ago, i suppose he was speaking about the changelog thing we had not long ago. It stopped working when we went with a new build system. Bringing it back, or at least posting news articles more often would probably not be a bad idea. I think some guy was bitching about that in the IRC channel some time ago, but he was right. At this point people will really need some hope in DP3, not to "emigrate" to IV or whatever, the moment it's out. Well GTA IV was delayed again, i just hope DP3 is out before IV and that just cause IV will be out the MTA team wont forget about san andreas

oh yeah the betas gave many people so much fps it was so amazing, you were just lucky at time a had 9 FPS and i wasnt alone

Irrelevant to MTA, if players want this they can use Ventrilo or another VoIP. whats the point of using those! you cant speak to whoever in the server, abit like the voice speak if gta IV
