Yea right.., 10 months past and still nothing. Dude Race is the past, why is everyone still bitching around for a race update, DM is the race update!! So just switch to it, it works with Vista and its open-source! And guess what! You can do much more other things than just race.

I know what you mean dude, I never liked the idea of MTA having Game-monitor as a server browser, this has nothing got to do with MTA. Many times I get multiple time outs/errors when trying to connect to GM or start my server =/ (happened in 1.0 too)

MTA automatically registers your server at Game-Monitor.com, so all you need to do is foward the port and the ASE port (port +123)

Then i guess you could use a 2-player beta mod but that's for single player and its not than pleasant, however its possible over mta (1.0) but mind you it will be hard creating a script for the peds to act exactly like SP and LAN is possible too.

I would like to see a post from the point of view of a MTA dev.

Q. Would you like the new release of MTA:SA to be called 'Multi Theft Auto:San Andreas 1.0' instead of 'Multi Theft Auto:San Andreas Death Match 1.0'? I created this poll because many think that the new release should no longer carry the name 'Death Match' on it, since many new comers make get confused and think that DM is just DM with no racing or RP etc. and the'll just go to Race instead. Please after voting post a comment discussing on the situation.

The GTA SA engine freezes when it's alt+tabbed AFAIK. SA:MP ESPECIALLY has this issue. Yes, I renember in sa-mp people used to think that I was cheating because I was invincible but infact it was me using my desktop after ALT+TAB'ing.

LOl and I'm tired of you guys judging DM just for its name and even when you haven't even tried the nightly's saying that it's all gonna be :~ and that MTA should just continue on race (well race is practicly DM) (correct me if im wrong) and race was just to test the new core, so it wasn't intended for anything bug, well DM is and that's the future now . I do play DM sometimes, the sync is unreal ( 1000x better than sa-mp), i join in on some shooting occasionally and it's really fun and all that. I know racing is just one of many gamemodes possible with mta. Just saying that the currect one on dm is a bit too bugged and laggy imo. (and no goddamn pad suppport ) and like i said; i'm really looking forward to 1.0 I know what you mean, the race gamemode on DM is quite buggy but they have cleaned it up for 1.0, I'd suggest to try the nightly's. And maybe tell everyone at MTA:race so thell migrate to 1.0 when it officially releases.

Happened to me before but that was just the settings were set to default for some reason, but i don't know about this one, does he have any mod's installed apart from MTA and sa-mp? I would try uninstalling sa-mp, its contagious

http://bugs.mtasa.com/roadmap_page.php If you look there, you will see the gamepad support is only going to be included in the 2nd release, they were going to do it in the 1st one for a while but for some reason they changed it I think it's probably set to 1.0.1 as a final release but I think it shall be implemented in 1.0 since it is in the nightly's.

Things shall change in 1.0! Have you tried the nightly's? Talking about 'pure racing', race is so de-sych'ed that it reminds me of sa-mp. I haven't tried the nightly's yet but i heard some good things about them And i don't have any problems with the sync tbh, it all depends on what server you're on. On the skc server i sometimes race against my friend called "demonseed", he lives in america and i never notice any real desync problems so... However, a lot of racers are not going to move to dm until they release goddamn gamepad support! Gamepad support is already implemented in the nightly's I'd suggest you to try it.
