this looks amazing roads with real camber? gta just has flat roads i would of thought..isn't tha gonna be really hard? this is a mod i'd love to try out what if someone took photos of road or something to get the textures? like go on a motoway bridge and take a photo of the road beneath and see if it could be used somehow? probably not an practical idea, but it could make it look awesome?

I'm assuming this is just a driver issue, or because the card is old, but i thought the text was just really hard to read, i'm currently borrowing this TNT2 which runs fine, before the text box (With teh g450card) didn't have the lil gray background thingy, which made it incredibly hard to read the text, but now its there, i just assumed it was never there before Not sure what you can do about it if there is anything, its probably just a driver thing

if the good people behind mta could work this into there offical server list page, like have alink to unoffical servers? which could list them all from the mta website, it would make mta a lot more popular, if the offical servers are full i can't be bothered to download ase, i know its free and you can keep clicking try for 7 more days but i'd still prefer to use this script if it works properly

i don't see how that means he's a noob or whatever, but i too like the idea i'm not sure if you should use tanks tho, as nothing can take them out? unless you topple them tho, whoever was in it could easily decide, hang on, i don't like either side! and go crazy, unless you could make a weapon to take the tank out, and only allow it once the tank has been unlocked and it only has 3 shots and only one person can get it?

I'm sure theres bad things being said about mta and gtat here, even after i read that such messages would be deleted in the mta forum, which i read in teh gtat forum i think its impossible to prevent cheats 100% but then theres no need to state that you could easily cheat in it, although its good in a way that people who want to avoid cheaters do it so they can find new ways to cheat then new ways to block them Also, i could be crazy, but i'd worry about the cheating later on, the anti cheating thats there in mta is sufficant for now isn't it? i think mta should carry on with improving mta, then once that has done, find ways to stop cheats, if all the cheats are stopped now, when new features will be in it, they will only have to be redone, at least i'd of thought so don't want to start an argument, just..thats how you say my 2 cents but really, both mods are great so far and i can only see them improving! (i'm sure as usual my message has gone way off topic )

How does a cd become messed up anyways? i had a game before called screamer, that cd got scratched to hell and back, but crazily it still worked havent' had an original cd stop workign for me, i'll admit i've had copy of some things, and i can't say i know anyone who hasn't, and yes they generally stop working

textures are checked too? i thought only the files that could affect the vechiles and maps would be checked? not the graphics, or did i misread that i can't see a skin making much difference to vechiles..unless the game tries to sync the textures

Whoops i just suggest the same thing, then i saw this and quickly deleted it (i misread this thread earlier thought it said something else) but ithink its a good idea, a legend would be nice too, all i can remmeber is blue are cops i keep forgetting the others in game...

Well i've decided to get a cheap radeon 9200 128mb for £50, i know its far from the fastest, but it does what i want it to, and its not stupidly expensive + its at least 4 times more powerful than my card i think and i've read that it runs vice city perfect

is anyone willing to translate the manual tho? or is anyone allowed to do so? if i knew a second langauge i would gladdy do it, but unfourtantly i don't it would be nice to see mp mods support at least the langages gta supports!

this may sound wierd, but i noticed on my comp, i have 2 cd drives and i installed from the one cd then installed the radio from the other cd, but i had them in seperate drives, if the install cd is in teh computer i've noticed vice city doesn't load, does the thingy with the cursor then quits, not sure if its just me tho... seems to do it if the gta3 (install) cd is in the drive too

i'm impressed, i've joined 2 games so far (only been using the offical servers) and i thought the lag was quite good, excepet for when on a motorbike, i think that was mentioned somewhere tho? and i'm on 56k i am very impressed with how smooth it is considering my connection Must admit, i'm not impressed when how my car catches fire i jump out then a speeding Mr Whippy takes the final blow to my health! don't udnerstand the pings tho, often people have pings of well into the thousands, or -500 odd?

i've noticed a few of my posts seem to be of deleted too i saw at the top that moderators are now allowed to delete whatever they see as abuse or anything like that which is fair enough, i could of just forgotten where i posted the message tho..

yea i found that, and when u go inside the police station your walking in midair for a few seconds and then you end up downstairs in teh prision bit, at least i do, and have to run backupstairs cuz i went in for the body armour

analoge sticks all the way makes it much easier to fly..

what if it was to use the forum's usernames? thats what i meant, so at least hte people who use the forum will have there names... although i'm thinking using theforums ones probably won't be easy

i think you should let both mta and gtat support it, its nice to have the option, as some people are gonna prefer mta, and some are gonna prefer gtat personally i think their current choice is good tho (no offensive to mta, its just my preferance)

I don't think you should need to register, but i think it would be nice if your forum nicks could only be used by u, ie the client checks your username and if its listed on the forum u need that pass for it, so only people who register on the forum can use there own registered nicks, like on irc chats, u register ur name so no one else uses it, but it doesn't mean you have to.. i think its pretty simple using a database to do this, (i'm not saying it is, but i think ms access has some examples of how to do it, use an online SQL? server is it?) although then thats the cost of microsoft access just my opinion

i had that error, reinstalled it 3 times, the last time i deleted the mta folder & all the subfolders (as for some reason not all of them are delated, there were 3 remaining) then i reinstalled vice city, then instaalled mta, and it worked fine, can't figure it out myself.. havent' tried the 1.1 patch yet, although i noticed theres no gray backgrund to the chat like in the screenshots or player health status & name?

wtf?!?! its .1 and .2 not like version 1.4.1.9 or anything... i would LOOOVEEE to see u try to even make a calculator in vb... let alone make a non-multiplayer game multiplayer... hehe, i remember trying to make a working calculator in vb before, drove me nuts, i can't remember if i finished it tho...

just curious, i noticed gta3 progess doesn't seem to of gone up much? are you going to just rush it quickly? or just release the vc part for now then later on release the gta3 part?

i would of thought it would be better than a geforce 3... i think a card with 256mb of memory should last aaages to, mite not be the fastest out (i dunno about these things ay more gets updated to quickly) but even my acient directx 6 32mb card seems to play most games, so that should run everything!

about the cops thingy, i'm not understanding still why all the peds have to be shown, but anwyays, i'd like to ask where Stanislav is from, as here broadband is at least twice as much as dial up, and where my dad lives they have no intention of enabling broadband in that area, and there any many like this, and i know most people say move, but strangly not everyone can afford to do this i'm not trying to sound bitchy or nothing i can't actually afford to have broadband here, not for a while anyway, i would like to, its recently been enabled, but we can only get ADSL and from what i've seen from friends i know who ahve it, the connection doesn't seem to be to steady, even with the microfilters the phone seems to still cause brief delays with the connection I think the account thingy would be a good idea, not to save positions in games or whatever, but like on battle.net (i used to play starcraft:p) they would keep a track of how many games you've played, and how many you've won, if everyone had unique names as well it mite be able to cut down on people cheating, people would be put off making loads of names because they would have to register?

i'd go for the ati one myself, never liked geforce range myself, well i don't mean i hate them, i just wouldn't buy one myself, i'm thinking of getting a a ATI radeon soon... but the card you mentioned in my opinion will last aaaages until it needs to be replaced, unless your one of those people who insist on having everything on full graphics running at 10 zillion frames per second... Just out of interest, you've ordered the card then asked if its any good?
