Who are you to comment on what we will or will not do? Last I checked you weren't part of our team. -Derek
  2. We don't want to deal with security issues concerning our netcode for the time being (although this will be dealt with in future versions of our software). This person made a post that could potentially compromise the security and stability of our software, hence the appropriate action was taken. People tend to forget that we are doing this at no cost to the end user. We have jobs and lives too, you know. So for our sake, please be respectful and think twice before you post/create anything that would be detrimental to the project. -Derek aka "slush"
  3. Very nice. Good job. -Derek

  5. college internet... 1.10MB/s regularly (in and out)
  6. No i'm not. I'm stating obvious facts. All of the ideas i brought with me into MTA have so far been copied. There was no mention of these ideas any time before i joined the group. -Derek
  7. dracoblue steals all of our ideas... which is why our next project is highly confidential. -Derek

    No HOME key

its the same as whatever you have to your camera key.. home is just the default binding for camera.
  9. if u have a creative card, and u installed the revert to defaults button, then u can use that to turn it off. otherwise go to the start menu, creative, click on audio hq, audio settings(prob called something else) and move the arrow for REVERB down all the way to the left. its a issue that happens to me, so its not just exclusive to ur drivers. or just click the "All Effects Off" button in that panel. -Derek
  10. that tells me then that the australian executable is structurally different than the regular executables. It will be hard to formulate a fix for that. -Derek
  11. This was a known problem that we unfortunately forgot to mention. It seemed as if the Catalyst 3.5 drivers had a major bug which caused a fatal system error (and hence a reboot) on systems using them because of a particular method MTA used to gain access to drawing functions in the game. ATI was quick to fix this problem. Please upgrade your drivers if you experience this behavior. -Derek aka slush
  12. We do not give out the source to anyone. -Derek aka slush
  13. The dll relies on checking specific data in the gta-vc.exe executable in order to automatically detect and use the correct memory addresses to interface the game. I was not aware that there was a separate executable for australians. In order to work out a fix i'd need to pull information out of the 1.0 and 1.1 australian executables. -Derek aka slush
  14. FYI, the mminternet.com Southern California DS3 will be down until .2 is released. -Derek aka slush
  15. You're most likely behind a firewall of some sort, or you have ports that MTA uses blocked. Unblock them and all will be well. -Derek aka slush
  16. if you want to talk to other people in game, use ventrilo, roger wilco, or team speak. There will be no chat bubbles. -slush

  18. i've already offered to help. I emailed you about two weeks ago. However, only if MTA is going to be ported to vice city. Vice city has tons of features that aren't implemented in regular GTA3. I have experience with C/C++/Java/Assembly. I'm also working on my current project: http://www.game-security.com. I'm "slush" on that site. -Derek
