We don't really care about any of this. What you've mentioned is a fairly trivial process for anyone who knows what they're doing. We are not going to dedicate any more time to it in the current core. The next core (0.4) will feature a robust array of anticheating counter-measures, and generally very tight security. -Derek aka slush

We've solved this problem a long time ago. It should be in our FAQ. ATI released a problematic version of their CATALYST driver. Go here to update: http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html. Just download and install the latest version. -Derek aka slush

Releases of MTA software are highly anticipated by many. We've grown since we've started, and one can only think that it only gets better from here. We also respect the community and appreciate the comments and support you give us (good and bad... it pushes us to do better). Most of us developers in MTA don't have BMW's or Hummers. In fact, none of us do (I don't even have a car anymore, and i'm 20). We also have binding occupations such as work, school, etcetera. But we still devote our free time to combine our creative minds together to produce MTA. This is what the subject of this thread is. We're growing tired of the constant nagging and cheat making. Like i stated earlier, we do not get paid. We are aware of the flaws in our software, and keep trying to do our best to fix them (although it is hard on the current core technology). So please don't be disrespectful and try to make "demands" at us. Most of the time we ignore those, anyway. And for the biggest part, cheat making. Look, i'll get straight to the point here. We simply cannot devote enough time to stop these. What you've made us come down to now is face two decisions: stop releasing new versions of our software, or spend extra time researching and developing anticheating methods. So far, we've chosen the latter. But do realize that as such new versions will take about fifty percent longer to create. All because of the arrogance of a few. And to those few: don't think hex editing or depacking our software makes you a programmer, or anything for that matter. It is a fairly trivial process, and you can be rest assured in the future it will definately not be that easy. The software based on the 0.4 core will be a revolutionary release for MTA. -slush & the Multi Theft Auto Team.

Given that we don't get paid, and you don't contribute anything to us, we have no obligation to you what-so-ever. So please, keep your sarcasm to yourself. -Derek aka slush

This is a problem with the ATI Catalyst drivers. Update your video card drivers to ATI's latest release: http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html This problem has been answered before. Please make use of the search button first before creating new posts. -Derek aka slush

try hitting the "Reset game path" button. Choose the folder gta-vc.exe is in, and make sure mta_dll.dll is in the same place. -Derek aka slush

The current core MTA software uses has security issues, yes. The next core will not. Oh, and DO stop cheating. If you've all forgotten, we aren't getting any money out of this project. So forcing us to rewrite and rerelease (time to recode and repackage, plus bandwidth costs) isn't going to incline us to keep working on MTA. -Derek aka slush

use your search button. edit config.cfg in your Vice City folder, and add these lines into it: bind t say bind f9 showplayers bind f10 screenshot bind f11 showscores

Take-Two Interactive Software said Tuesday that it would remove the statements from new copies of "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," a game in which an ex-convict is hired to recover stolen drug money in the streets of Miami.

Will these glitches be fixed in upcomming versions of MTA?

obviously you'd have to be pretty retarded to think that we purposely put that in if we allow gtat posts in our forums. -Derek aka slush -
AOL = america on-line. If you're using it in the UK, you're still using an american ISP. ASE most likely just does a whois on the ip address to find out who owns the IP address range that you use, then they assign a little "flag" to that. Get a UK isp if you're so bent out of shape over it. -Derek aka slush

we will address problems as they come. Of course stopping cheaters is high on our priority list, but we aren't going to jump on it just because someone says so. I've probably had to restate myself about fifty times now: we use time in OUR lives to create MTA, and we don't charge you anything. so show some respect and have some patience. -Derek aka slush
