Since you didn't give any info, I'm having a guess: you're running vista, right? Make sure both the installer and MTA/GTA has admin privileges when running.
-
Upgrade.* Race is old as fuck. MTA 1.0 is the latest and has the most features.

If it were me, I'd make a variable for the ped's health, hook up the damage events to subtract from the variable and set the ped's health in accordance. (current * 100/max)

I don't see why it has to be one of them. Surely, "some RPG server" is included in "all servers"? Raxxar: do you have a dual-core processor?

Fille? Troold: it's file, not fille. I guess Gamesnert will edit it soon

SA:MP have these skins, and the WAY better MTA does not?

One of CJ's girlfriends is a cop - but I guess that's one of the missing/story-related skins. -

No, I said what I said: at the moment, you have to choose. I'm fairly confident that the guys at MTA can somehow add the skins, but from what I understand, there's a problem related to how the game handles these skins as opposed to the ones you can use at the moment, and how many skins you can have in total. So no; the MTA guys didn't deliberately cut those skins out to dick with people. I seem to remember hearing that SA:MP has simply taken yet another shortcut and just removed enough skins to fit the story-line ones in. I imagine MTA's developers will want to find a more elegant solution than that. -

Define almost definitely for me. And how long is the 1.1 going to take? The Circle Jerk Server is a SA:MP server, but after our management saw what MTA is capable of we are moving to MTA, but a lot of our players use these skins and would be upset if they were to find them missing. Most rely on the glitched fast skins because they are better to duel with, which is what our server will be all about. At the moment, that makes the whole problem into a simple prioritizing issue: which would you rather have? Features and better sync, or those storyline skins? -
And with norby89 being mean () I'll just add that for one, this is still in the wrong section, and two, you're using an old URL in the video. (MTAVC.com -> MTASA.com)

Assuming you have created that event, you need to add true as the second argument in the addEvent call.

No. The system that was in use previously went belly-up at some point, and was the reason for the DP2.* versions. This system is a new one.

You have serials for banning people, though. There's only one thing that's a little retarded - unless serial verification is enabled in mtaserver.conf, banPlayer will NOT work with serials, but return false. Nothing's simpler than fixing this, though; replace banPlayer calls with addBan(nil, nil, serial, responsibleElement, reason); and it will behave the exact same way.

To add two strings you do "something" .. somevalue .. "another thing". The .. is a concatenation operator, it puts two strings together.

Either map files (recommended) using the following syntax for a pickup: <pickup posX="" posY="" posZ="" type="" amount="" respawn=""/> or Lua scripting. This is not recommended, but is also an option. https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/index.php?title=CreatePickup And please write better topic subjects... "Help", "Help please", "HAAAAALP" etc. don't really catch people's interest. If you write something actually related to your problem, it increases the chances of someone helping.

When your grammar and general spelling can be outdone by grade schoolers, you can't really complain about people not understanding. I thought you meant the installer wanted you to download something, and you couldn't. This would mean you'd gotten the wrong installer. I'm a little curious about what you mean when you say you can't download from MS' site - this file doesn't even need WGA validation. It can also probably be found on other sites.
-
Download the file from the URL I gave you, put it on a USB drive, profit. It worked for a friend of mine, from a LAN with no external downloads.
-
Yeah. You're definitely getting help now. Rofl.

You don't need Visual Studio itself, you need this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

You can easily make a similar function if you take five minutes to do that instead of bitching on the forums...

IMO not a very good idea, both due to security and the fact that there are so ridiculously many things that would be more useful, or needs a higher priority than this. (The roadmap comes to mind straight away.) You don't NEED live audio streaming to clients implemented in MTA, use a separate program or something. I think you could be able to control it somehow, if the program ran alongside MTA, and had a connection to a module or something on the server on another port. This is just a very vague idea though, and IMHO this is just too useless to waste any time on, at least when we're talking about time that could be better spent solving one of the 470 issues currently on the roadmap. (This whole thing reminds me about the voicechat/TeamSpeak topic, heh..)
-
That'd be a "no". MTA only plays MP3s that are sent to the client included in a resource.
-
No, this can not currently be done unless you want to add an mp3 file to the resource and change it manually.
-
Uninstall, delete MTA directory, reinstall.

They're brothers in arms! They're sharing the same comp.. same house... same bed.... ... same norby89.... *runs*
