    Hey, I like how you use my map in a work you're claiming as your own and selling. That map was never publicly released. It was part of Vedic's Keaton Prison. It's not your map.

  4. I had this issue and upgraded to build 3898. It worked for about a day and the next day it had the exact same issue but connected after about 1-2 minutes as opposed to 5-10. I'm running the Linux server, that can't be changed. Is this issue still being worked on or is it being considered as resolved?
  5. Y'know I hate to be an ass here but the network troubles are still very much alive. Any server with 1 mb+ of maps is near impossible to connect to. The devs have been "fixing" it since 1.1. When are we going to see it working? The features are outstanding, a million times improvement over SAMP. But the network issues make it darn close to impossible to run a server unless it has very few maps.
  6. I'm currently using this service and I must say it is phenomenal. The support staff is what blew me away. I've been with hosts before that you have to wait days before they respond. When I file a ticket with Colorhost, it's responded to within, I'd say 2 hours and fixed within 6. Needless to say I will be staying with Colorhost, it has gone above and beyond my expectations.
  7. I'll be looking around the hosting market in January, I'll probably end up going with you guys. Couple things though, if you improve your thread you'll probably get more customers - it's all about the looks; and also 50 slot package might get you more sales as well because for some types of servers - roleplay, zombie mode, etc etc - 100 slots is alot of players.

    Limits.

    Client side elements have to be rendered by the client, therefore they take a larger toll on the computer's GPU & CPU. The client-side limit is how much your players' computers can handle without a large FPS drop, which is far less than 65,535; but I'd have to imagine that's the hardcoded limit for clients as well even if they can't handle it.

    This is on the roadmap for 1.2. The temporary solution is converting all maps that don't contain double-sided objects, or objects in a seperate dimension; to serverside .lua files, but obviously that would be a problem for race servers with a rotating map system in place.
  10. I was told a long while ago that SA-MP was built off of MTA and that Kye was originally a developer at MTA to begin with. Not completely sure if that's true but it came from a reputable source.

    Pretty simple script but it could honestly be useful for scripting - opening garages temporarily to get positions for a mod shop/Pay-n-Spray for example..
  12. I agree. If Orange is seriously under development, skip over IV and start revising it for V once it comes out. IV's "new engine" obviously made overall development of a multiplayer mod more difficult, but if V is using the same or very similar engine which it appears to be, the Orange code if it's developed at all would only need to be adapted and finished to fit it. Plus I hear IV's PC port is bad to begin with, perhaps it would be better to skip IV if V has a better port.
  13. You could fake a parachute death using killPed(), could have been a scripting accident and not a legitimate kill.
  14. The window is disproportionate, less wide and less negative space on the bottoms of the two boxes would make it look much better. The layout on the other hand looks good though, incorporates detail in an efficient matter, which is important and both major roleplay scripts definitely lack that at the moment. Looking forward to seeing this really becoming something big.
  15. <333333333333 I was sorely dissapointed when they got rid of the square theme during the nightlies. I like how this is nearly the same as the original but has a little more... glossiness to it. Good job, 5/5.

    Hm, I can't say I know the answer then. Large maps have been causing bandwidth issues on 1.1, that's what I figured was happening. Sorry I can't help anymore.

    Never heard of them so I wouldn't know if they're one of the faulty VPS services. What about maps? Do you have a large map download size (1MB+)?

  21. I'm 15, I attend neighborhood watch meetings and community cleanup events, I make my money honestly through hard work whenever it's available to me. I've smoked pot twice in my life and never been to jail. I have a friend who's 17, been to jail 3 times - car burglary, posession of marijuana, and bribery - dates girls my age, doesn't GAF about school or staying out of jail. Left his job because he didn't like waiting tables and he'd rather keep selling drugs. Nice guy but he has no outlook on life. If we were comparing 11 to 16, or 16 to 21; there would be the debate of maturity. But when most of us are 13-17, putting the bar at 16 on the basis of maturity can easily offend quite a few people, as it has here.

    VPSes generally aren't very good with MTA. What service are you using? I know a few in particular that should definitely not be used for MTA.
  23. Is it a map download or a script download? If it's a map download you can use this to convert your maps to .lua which reduces the file size, but if they're all seperate resources I can't say it'll be fun to re-do the meta files. Also consider what kind of hosting your server is using. If you are using a VPS or a local computer rather than a quality game hosting service or dedicated server it may affect the speed of your download as well as the performance of your server, especially if it's made to run with an SQL database.

  25. I've noticed there's alot more lag in one of the mid-April nightlies. Has this been fixed at all?
