  1. let's just wait for the release of enter the matrix besides having people speed up while "dodging bullets" is not bullet-time. bullet-time is impossible to add as a feature to multiplayer games
  2. This seems like the feature used in cs, but it could be done as a check-box integrated to the gta3mta console ("force skin download" etc.) in the server settings, couldn't it? A skin's usual size is about 60kb 200 kb. As for the 56k-ers this could take some time to download so the master of server should take this into consideration. The other way to do this is to somehow compress the skin.bmp and send it to the client uncompress it. This should be possible from the client to the server and from the server to the client so that everybody would see each other's 1337 k33l skins Any comments?
  3. This could be added as a single-player trainer What I mean, is, that if one feels he/she isn't so good in gta 3 then he/she could go practice with the npcs. In fact, several of these should be made, don't you think?
  4. This sounds like it's been used before, somehow, doesn't it? Why not make something radical and give worse weapons after certain frags?
  5. This sound fine to me, but just leave the matrix part out of it. gta has nothing to do with matrix btw, unless all cars and pedestrians are synchronised in gta3mta 0.3, this game mode will be unfair xP
  6. I don't think this will ever be possible... Unless you copy the Acclaim's idea from the game Re-Volt -where one player was it and the others had to crash him... everything exactly like in the first post. The only difference is that everybody else is chasing the it and it tries to drive away to lose his time, let's say 2 minutes. When another player succesfully crashes the it, his clock will start ticking and so on... evolving to a total carnage on the streets, imagine it

  8. Wasn't this quite the way Counter-Strike became one of the most played games, or mods, worldwide?
  9. You guys mean something like the "new" Steam that is designed mainly for counter-strike 1.6 which doesn't seem to come out until the next generation xP ?
  10. This idea is a good one! - I mean for a game-mode... One should certainly be not able to choose his/her class in another game-mode if it makes it too easy. Maybe this should be made as a check-box integrated to the gta3mta 0.3 console? Any (better?) ideas? x)
  11. Why not use some of the pre-made mission scripts found all over the internet? I personally have no experience of them, though.
  12. Will mods considered cheating in gta3mta 0.3 ? I think they should not be considered cheating a list could be made by somebody which included all the "legal" mods (which would have been decided earlier). I know this would require a lot of work but it certainly is something to consider, don't you think so?
  13. As I saw this game-mode, the convoy would be traveling from one end of the island to another, which makes the map quite small. Just imagine yourself chasing a "cop" convoy which is driving a few hundred meters in front of you -you'd have to have a really fast car to do this. And even faster if you wanted to ram the "VIP" off the road and destroy the car. As if the convoy traveled fron Portland to Shoreside Vale, they could use the bridges or the tunnels which makes it even more difficult for the "criminal" team to ram the "VIP" off the road. And finally, I have to apologise for I hesitated a little with the issue. It seems quite clear to me that the game-type you described earlier will not work.
  14. does gta3mta 0.3 also synchronize the pedestrians and NPC cars?

As I understand it the gametype is basically 2 teams, the other team transferring a member from the other team from poing A to point B. The other team tries to escort the member of the other team to the point B asap and so on... x) - the "hostage" must be travelling in a car (which, as I understand, is possible) with locked doors- But how will he get out? The locks can't just open when the rescuers arrive nor is it better that he gets out when the car rams off the road and turns upside-down? If the rescuers tried just to steal the car then the game mode would seem something like the earlier "CTF Whoopie mode" and besides they would get killed easily. - An island is too big a map, it would be way too easy for the escort to use alternate routes that the other team would never stand a chance Has anyone got a good idea for this?
  16. Yes this indeed sounds good and even better if the two teams started from the different sides of the chosen island and tried to drive the WHOOPIE to their spawning point.
