If you are going to make such a comment, then atleast USE THE FRAKKIN THING before you write any such comments. I have a Core2 Duo E6300 at 2.33GHz with 1GB ram and a FX7600GT, the only noticeble difference on ULTIMATE EDITION of Vista is that it eats 100MB more ram than XP(yes i compared them). Yeah drivers aren't perfect yet but "most of the games get blocked and the users won't be able to play most of the games they purchase" is total BS, the only games i haven't been able to boot are ones from before 2000. Windows itself has a buildin AV, i didn't find ANY at all problems installing NOD32(thats my AV). I don't understand why the MTA doesn't want to release RACE for Vista, using the search function of the forum with a string "Vista" i have learned this: RACE doesn't work on vista because its anti-cheat module isn't designed for it, their internal version of RACE which has anti-cheat disabled works fine(i think that was said by eAi or error404). I don't suppose any one here will claim that disabling anti-cheat for RACE will make a difference since cheats and hacks are working perfectly fine as it is. Now is it that hard to pack a new installer with this internal build OR one without anti-cheat? Will that take sooooooooo long that it will delay DM? And again use the search function and check for yourself that what i have said is indeed written by devs/QA team.

I don't find it funny that you can't play MTA on Vista

Is it too hard to release RACE with anti-cheat disabled so us Vista users can play something untill DM comes out

From the feature list currently implemented, i'd say thats more than half if not full MODIFICATION.

I'd say that blue core is not just a modification Maybe it's even worth selling it, if you have never been programmin you can't imagine how much work has been done on mta And how can you claim it, it's not yours, and mta team is not obliged to release it, they are working on it in their spare time, and you could at least be thankful for their job I've never said i dis-respect what they have done, or that its easy to make. What i am saying is the community is TIRED of waiting, if they want a perfect first release with everything they have planned in it - then i want a dev to say that here so i can finally leave MTA. Because THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "PERFECT".Oh and don't say "But you are not the community to say that" because the only people left here are either testers/devs or the very few(which can be counted on two hands) people with some hope left.

People, its one thing to wait a couple of months maybe a year for a modification OK. But this is taking 2 YEARS.

I am reffering to: 1. Connection Lost 2. Connection Timeout 3. Internal Error 4. Connection Lost then complete freeze of the PC 5. No mouse support when entering the game(you can't move the camera when driving/flying) 6. Core dump error Those errors are the ones i and MORE THAN 30 people get every day, and its not from the server since me and the other 30 people have tried playing on other servers. EDIT. Should i mention that almost everytime CJ finishes his weed we get connection lost.

You mean that 3 server which i play and admin in (total of 64 slots) are all people who in some bizzare way have the exact same problems i have? And that my PC is crap and that is why the game does that? And that my new PC is also crap and again it does that? And that ooohhhh right, BRAND NEW PLAYERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS??? Negative comments is exactly what reality is atm with MTA.good work they have done so far race Thank you for releasing RACE, i simply could not wait to get Connection Lost every 30mins or less. if they rush you complain the game is too buggy Thank you for NOT i say again NOT rushing RACE v1.1.1, again NOT. I rather have a quality product that took a long time to make Me too, like GTA4 comes out in what 7 or 8 months? I think MTA will be in pre-beta status by then.

Babelfish FTL from what i read he joisn a server and as soon as loading is done his game crashes to the desktop with the MTA error reporting tool saying it couldn't find core dump file.

I have the same GPU, try ForceWare v92.91, works perfect.

I think it will be very good if MTA team make a launcher with which we can say press a key combination when MTA freezes so it ends the processes and saves us a reset PS. Don't think EVERYBODY uses Task Manager.

Just cause you can't upgrade to vista or your PC is too slow doesn't mean mine is too and i should stick to XP untill its not supported anymore :< and how much work is it to comment out the anti-cheat part of RACE?

erorr404 nobody is talking about further developing RACE, all we want is a Vista patch for RACE so we have something to play until DM comes out. Unless we should shift to other multiplayer modifications?

Don't forget: 3) total loss of interest in mod/game 4) dead community Will it be that hard to release a version of RACE(until DM if it ever comes out) without anti-cheat protections(you don't update the definitions anyway so i don't see what "new" cheats will appear that don't run atm).

Jani, do you have to deal with stubborn cheaters every day. Do you belive a IP range ban will stop those cheaters? Check this out it takes a cheater just a few seconds to exit MTA, go pick another socks proxy and come back in. Ever have a case where you ban a person around 20 times and after 10-15 secs he's back in, rams you and writes a chat message "hey admin, i'm back ~ ". Please tell me how i can ban/mute/freeze/deep freeze/burn till black this kind of cheater.

Use a fresh installation of GTA(and MTA just in case) with no mods or hacks.

If its something that can be added easily why not do it? Ban by multi IP-adresses is plain stupid cuz most people have dynamic IPs and they can always run MTA via a socks proxy server.

Hasn't the MTA team abandoned RACE, cuz by the looks of it they have and i'm not willing to wait for them to finish DM and then patch race to work under vista(yeah i'm upgrading in a few weeks, don't tell me how much BS vista is cuz you are wrong).

I can put a hand on my heart and say MTA - RACE 1.0 was the most stable thing i've played, i CAN'T say the same for 1.1.1 tho BTW i've changed my computer with a new dual core one and its still the same thing which leads me to the conclusion its something related with my internet.
