A map by Lucius, a new member of SA-MP player. I've asked him for permission from PM in SA-MP and he accepts it, so I will post the map here too. The map is located in Pershing Square, which is near the Police Station and City Hall. Location: Download Link: http://www.community.multitheftauto.com/index.ht ... ils&id=641 Screenshot! Slideshow: http://img694.imageshack.us/slideshow/p ... 38pho.smil The map doesn't have scripts yet, but I think I could add some scripts for moving a few objects and clothes changer for CJ.

Hey guys I made this to work, but no textures and too low LOD distance. How to do it?
-
Nice work Ca11um! But please fix it the resolutions problem. I'm using 800x600 right now and the GUI is too narrow.

off topic: Sorry for long answer before but here's the alternative way: Open up MTA Server.exe, wait until the server is ready, and then you will have rights to start, stop or anything (only on the command prompt window). MTA Server.exe is located in C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas Deathmatch\Server (to connect to the server ingame, just open the server Browser and click the LAN tab.) and confurgation of server (mtaserver.conf) is located in C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas Deathmatch\Server\Mods on topic: What type of map? For race, Deathmatch, or freeroam? If freeroam, just write: "start (the map name)" without quotes, and stop it (means hide all objects in there) by writing "stop (the map name)" without quotes on MTA Server.exe command prompt. Deathmatch have more than one type, Classic Death Match (cdm), Deathmatch, Team Death Match (tdm or tdma), Stealth, or BaseMode 1.0(Arena or Base). Ask him first for what Deathmatch the map is used for. Race has checkpoint race or DD. DD is used when no checkpoints were put at the map. For race, do this: start race (on MTA Server.exe command prompt window) votemap (your map name) I hope this helps you much!

I've been using slrfuel and it doesn't work at all.

Sorry, forgotten which code I should use. That's because I'm using Windows Notepad for a while, sorry. Thanks 50p! Great now I will try making custom maps from most websites and I'll post it on MTA community after I made it.

Hmm, I heard of it on http://www.center.mtasa.com, but it's already off, so I can't get anymore maps.

Hi guys! I just now downloaded Shanghai International Speedway and I found things inside the .img There is around 4 dff items, but only one txd. Can you tell me how to properly import these? Script: function replaceDFF() dff=engineLoadDFF("hjp03.txd") engineImportDFF(dff, 3914) dff1=engineLoadDFF("hjp04a.dff") engineImportDFF(dff1, 3911) dff2=engineLoadDFF("hjp04b.dff") engineImportDFF(dff2, 3910) dff3=engineLoadDFF("hjp04c.dff") engineImportDFF(dff3, 3906) end addEventHandler ( "onClientResourceStart", getResourceRootElement(getThisResource()), replaceDFF) function replaceTXD() txd = engineLoadTXD("chinaspeed.txd") engineImportTXD(txd, 9482) end addEventHandler ( "onClientResourceStart", getResourceRootElement(getThisResource()), replaceTXD)

You're welcome. You just need to learn what's inside MTA San Andreas first!
-
do this: open console (F8) nick LND|DOOM (without color code) register password login password now there is "Login and register" so you have to understand that first.
-
That plate of burgers is just a bug and still okay when used in race. Well, you have to try this first: Press F8 login console Here's the ACL edit for you: (Oh yeah please remove your nick color code first)
-
it's still ok. It's just the streamer's problem. It will go nicely while playing race gamemode.
-
Actually, you did it right already. but, that spawnpoints is used ONLY if you are playing race gamemode, and if you're testing it, it's not playing race gamemode. Just freeroam. So if you wanted to test it, you have to play race gamemode first and then write "votemap (your map name)" without quotes. so here's the way: First, save your map and name it. after you save it, go to console (F8) and do these: login console stop editor start mapmanager start votemanager start race votemap (your map name) and you can go back to the editor by writing this: stop race stop votemanager stop mapmanager start editor Then you'll be playing your map with the same way, spawnpoints, pickups, and checkpoints. Btw, you must be from MTA Race right? It's different from the past you know.

This was actually called Race Pickups To make Race pickups, it's easy. I'll learn you step by step. 1. Open map editor 2. Start a new map or load a map. 3. First, click definitions like this pic --> 4. Click race and move to the right. 5. After that, move your cursors to one of these buttons --> 6. If you have pointed to one of these icons don't press, just scroll. You'll see the "RACE" word and different EDF (Editor Definition Format). 7. Now click this button --> 8. Now you created a pickup. If you want to edit whether it's nitro, repair, or vehicle change, just press F3 (note that the objects that you see is trash bin, you don't need to worry about that. It's just the streamer's problem.) You will also learn that there is 2 other icons, and The motorcycle icon is the spawnpoint. You can change vehicles by pressing F3 and choose vehicle ID. The checkpoint icon is used for checkpoints and finish line. You can change size and color by pressing F3. If you don't put checkpoints then it's a DD map. Just to tell you pickups is different than Race pickups. These are normal pickups as you can use it for weapon, health, armor. It's this icon --> Great, I think this helps you much. Now go and make Race Maps!
-
Yep, I even used the Millenia Weapon pack (skins) and some ped skins replacement. They don't notice, but still legal.
-
Lexagaf, I also got that kind of problem, but there's a solution (maybe) Better not test it if you're using rcg.
-
Nice! Can you put this on other website? I don't really like MediaFire anyway.
-
No, it's just a tutorial. Btw, your map's good! But next time put on community!
-
No, the file saves the map in a folder. To put it in a .zip or .rar file, just create a winrar file! And then move the files in there. Good luck!
-
Great! Another Custom object map! Anyway, It's better to post another one inside the MTA community website. http://www.community.multitheftauto.com <-- Upload your maps, scripts, and gamemodes there with your pics from your computer. And login (or register if you don't have one) But first rename it to .zip file and don't use a folder. How to upload (make sure you're logged in): 1. Click the "resources" picture 2. Click Upload and click what resource you want to upload. 3. Put your description about the resource. (Changelog is used when you upload a newer version of the resource. Oftenly used to tell what's new on that version) 4. Click upload button and wait. 5. Post your pics (Upload from computer) and wait. 6. You're finished! And posted on http://www.community.multitheftauto.com on the bottom. (only if you have pics uploaded) Hope this helps you much!

Jumba, that gives another error: 'do' expected near 'getElementsByType' line 4 Maybe someone can fix that?

Hello guys! I just want to say that I wanted to remake the tutorials by ransom, jhxp, and IJs. I know it's sad to have no tutorials anymore. But, I think I later look around and make these tutorials work again as it should on the recent MTA SA. My first target was the first tutorial: "user selectable warp points" Here we go! This script was awesome as I learn a bit from it. But as usual the script is outdated. I like that kind of portal! Yes, the reason I want to remake this script is because I wanted a "portal gun" from GTA SA's Cleo mod to here! So here's what I get: (Edited the uppermost, the "onResourceLoad" --> "onResourceStart") addEventHandler ( "onResourceStart", getRootElement(), "Script_onResourceLoad" ) function Script_onResourceLoad ( resource ) if ( resource == getThisResource() ) then -- for each player already in the server for index, player in getElementsByType ( "player" ) do -- binds the "i"-key to our function "modeIO" bindKey ( player, "i", "down", "modeIO" ) end end end addEventHandler ( "onPlayerJoin", getRootElement(), "Script_onPlayerJoin" ) function Script_onPlayerJoin () -- binds the "i"-key to our function "modeIO" bindKey ( source, "i", "down", "modeIO" ) end function modeIO ( source, key, keyState ) -- function toggles the cursor if isCursorShowing ( source ) then -- if cursor was already showing: showCursor ( source, false ) -- hide it else -- if it wasn't showing: showCursor ( source, true ) -- show it end end addEventHandler ( "onPlayerClick", getRootElement(), "Script_onPlayerClick" ) function Script_onPlayerClick ( key, keyState, element, x, y, z ) if keyState == "up" then return -- ignore if the button was released end end if key == "left" then -- on a left mousebutton -- destroy his teleport point, if any destroyElement ( getElementData ( source, "teleport" ) ) -- create a normal cylinder marker local marker = createMarker ( x, y, z, "cylinder", 2, 0, 255, 0, 50 ) -- mark the cylinder as our "teleport" type setElementData ( marker, "type", "teleport" ) -- link the creator (player) to the marker, and vice versa setElementData ( source, "teleport", marker ) setElementData ( marker, "owner", source ) elseif key == "right" then -- on a right mousebutton -- destroy his destination point, if any destroyElement ( getElementData ( source, "destination" ) ) -- create a glowing corona local marker = createMarker ( x, y, z+1, "corona", 1, 0, 255, 255, 50 ) -- mark the corona as our "destination" type setElementData ( marker, "type", "destination" ) -- link the creator (player) to the marker, and vice versa setElementData ( source, "destination", marker ) setElementData ( marker, "owner", source ) elseif key == "middle" then -- on a middle mousebutton -- teleport the player to whereever he clicked setElementPosition ( source, x, y, z+1 ) end addEventHandler ( "onMarkerHit", getRootElement(), "Script_onMarkerHit" ) function Script_onMarkerHit ( player ) -- if the marker is a teleport point, proceed if getElementData ( source, "type" ) == "teleport" then -- get the owner linked to the "teleport" type marker local owner = getElementData ( source, "owner" ) -- get the destination point linked to the owner local destination = getElementData ( owner, "destination" ) -- if the destination point exists, proceed if destination then -- get the "destination" marker's position local x, y, z = getElementPosition ( destination ) -- finally, warp the player there setElementPosition ( player, x, y, z ) end end end addEventHandler ( "onPlayerQuit", getRootElement(), "Script_onPlayerQuit" ) function Script_onPlayerQuit ( reason ) --destroy his teleport point, if any destroyElement ( getElementData ( source, "teleport" ) ) -- destroy his destination point, if any destroyElement ( getElementData ( source, "destination" ) ) end Now I found bad arguments as the MTA Script editor said nothing. Errors: [17:01:18] WARNING: script.lua: Bad argument @ 'addEventHandler' - Line: 1 [17:01:18] WARNING: script.lua: Bad argument @ 'addEventHandler' - Line: 11 [17:01:18] WARNING: script.lua: Bad argument @ 'addEventHandler' - Line: 25 [17:01:18] WARNING: script.lua: Bad argument @ 'addEventHandler' - Line: 60 [17:01:18] WARNING: script.lua: Bad argument @ 'addEventHandler' - Line: 78 Can you guys tell me why I keep getting this error?
