orappa
if a mod is really good, will you endorse it? (like HL did with CS? ) But didn't Valve buy it and take it under their wing rather than endorse it? Link to comment
s0beit
true enough. they acually bought it out andthen did everything themeselves lol. but w/e Link to comment
Black Dragon
now, why was my post deleted? untrue information? then explain this one: Correct. The MTA team will support both "registered" and "unregistered" mods. However, registered mods will have big advantages over unregistered mods.To get your mod registered, it will have to follow a standard set by our group to ensure stability, performance, and quality. Popular mods may automatically qualify. More information on this will come out in due time. -Derek Link to comment
Toreno
yeah i don't really understand why MrBump said "wait and see", since Slush already told about it( and if i remember correctly eAi said such things as well). Link to comment
orappa
I don't think registering is the same as endorsing. Saying it meets quality criteria is not the same as the team saying that they'll support it. I think it would probably depend on the mod itself. Link to comment
s0beit
yes...for instance endorsing is what they would be doing for MTAMA currently, putting a link on the website and seeing it as a true admin tool...instead of a tool some guy made. Link to comment
eAi
Whatever we've said in the past, we haven't finalized the details around our support for mods. Whatever it is, we will be supporting all mods as well as we can. Some mods may get some extras (we'll explain the reasoning behind this nearer the release), and we'll probably be providing mod listing for all good quality mods that stay within our guidelines (which I doubt will be strict at all). As I've said before - the release of blue will be a turning point for MTA, I'd like to elaborate but we need to agree on certain things in-team before we can say anything to the community.
