s0beit
i found i can get VC up to 1280x1024x32 no frame limiter, draw distance all the way up...and hardly lag at all (CPU/Video card wise...) do you think i can play SA smoothly? at least at 1024x840? Link to comment
Gamefreek
It depens on what kind of video card you have. Link to comment
s0beit
radeon 9200 (either 128mb or 64mb i really dont know LOL....i think 64mb but i hope its a 128 lol) Link to comment
Oyst3r
If I were you, I would try at the lowest settings, and work your way up until it starts getting under 25 FPS. Download fraps, it shows the FPS. Link to comment
FAT(PHIL)
i have a radeon 9600 and when i play half-life 2 with all the setting on high i get about 30-50 fps so im sure mine will work Link to comment
erorr404
im not sure how video card dependant this game is. it seems to run smoothly for me when im not on missions but when i am in one, the framerate often goes under 20 fps. thats why im thinking it might be more cpu and ram dependent. i have a 6600GT, P4 2.26 GHz, and 512 MB PC2700. orappa
Looks like your CPU's the weakest link there. I've got a crappy 64 MB card and it runs fine with my 2.6 GHz P4. Link to comment
=BDC=Kenny
I got a AMD Athlon XP 1800+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.5GHz with a 32 MB card and im sick of playing SA with it. It runs like 3-5 FPS. Link to comment
Gamefreek
Maybe it runs at 3-5 fps because of your video card. Just a guess. Link to comment

orappa
I can get 1024x768x32 with max detail (no extras like AA though) and it plays smoothly when coupled with 512 MB RAM and a 64 MB GeForce FX Go (IIRC). I'm not sure if I can get it higher because 1024x768 is my laptop's maximum resolution. Link to comment
=BDC=Kenny
Umm can you tell me what component doesnt reach the minimun requirements and makes my game runs slow? Operating System: Windows XP Professional SP2 Card name: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 Display Memory: 32.0 MB Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1800+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.5GHz Memory: 256MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c Currently running 1028*768 Link to comment

I reckon you'd really notice a difference if you added another 256 MB stick of RAM. You could also use a 64 MB card. GeForce 2's are quite old, and the 2 MX is a cut-down version so it's even slower. I think a 128 MB one would be bottlenecked by your CPU though. Link to comment
=BDC=Kenny
Thanks, ill try to find those components EDIT: What effects the game more, GeForce 3 or 64 MB card? Link to comment
