No, but then Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto Vice City are both win32 games so what would be the point?

But why MTA Server is on Linux?

Many people prefer to run Linux servers for stability reasons. The MTA server does not require GTA to be installed in order to run, which is good because as Bump rightly stated, the games are Win32.

I've just read about MTA:Blue and that its no longer an external application, so this raises the question again of wether the MTA:Blue client will work on linux? I dont have windows anymore, nor any need to install it, and i just completed San Andreas today and got curious about the progress on MTA. I dumped MTA after dumping windows because it wouldnt work on Cedega/Wine, but MTA:Blue sounds like it might work again.

*keeps fingers crossed*

I seriously doubt that blue will work in linux. The techniques it uses are fairly fragile (in principle) and I doubt WINE will support them exactly how we expect them to work...

mta does not work under WINE, well it probably would run but the interaction between mta and gta is impossible

a friend couldnt get the installer to work in WINE
