I got some laughs from all the peoples imaginations running away and thinking the thing is real. One guy said the video was a stream from dreamworks.com (makers of the Ring movie). Wouldn't be surprised as I thought this was just spooky advertising in the first place, but I don't know how he checked. They are making a movie Ring 2. They say people who watched the movie in theatres or recieved the actual 'cursed' tape didnt die cause:

A. Movie cuts parts out

B. You saw a copy of a cursed tape so its not cursed

C. You saw some kind of fake

Anyways I guess this is trying to say the whole Ring movie deal is real, just that people haven't seen the real cursed tape and thats what the site is about.

Nah, I read somewhere the site admin and his friend moderate to get rid of the "trolls" like crazy. Prolly cause they are getting a cut from the next movie for advertising secretly Thats why you don't see much "omfg this is bullshit lol" crap.
