(COP)patrick Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 in the text you made the ip unreadeble. but in the console that gray thing under you see it!
MTA Team Blokker_1999 Posted February 2, 2005 MTA Team Posted February 2, 2005 127.0.0.1 is also known as the loopback interface or lo . This IP adress is a way to communicate with a server running on your own system. It is a local ip adress. It would be like typing in the IP of one of your netwerk cards in that computer The greyed out on the client is the public IP. The IP you receive from your ISP. It is important to keep this IP hidden from other people to prevent attacks on your system. The more you are known the more chance you have people will attack you and MTA makes a fine target for some people.

It's not greyed out on the actual dialog.
