Guest
Hello rabid MTA'ers... Call me Slacks. I've just started a website covering, uh, the 'real-time' comedy to be found on the Internet. Sorta like the funny situations you find yourself in, such as multiplayer games and chat rooms. I wrote an article for, and linked to, the MTA community as my little way to promote Multi-Theft Auto as thanks towards its developers. I can't program worth crap so can't help with the client, but I can make a slightly funny joke now and again, so I hope you all like it. It's an honest review, so I did mention that it's not out of beta stage, but I did state that MTA has a sincere, hard-working community, which is true All my best, and I hope you like my website...if you don't, just go easy on the "YOU ARE TEH SUXXOR" comments, okay? http://www.markx.net/internetslacker It's right after the, uh, "How To Annoy People In Public & Private Chat" article. Any suggestions I'd be more than willing to hear (unless, again, 'suxxor' enters into it) Good Luck In The Game...May You Run Over Many People, The Internet Slacker Link to comment

Scar
Nice.. Quite funny. * When I was in third grade every time Mrs.Wilkins, my English teacher, said “per se”, I thought she was talking to her invisible friend, “Percy”. For years I thought Mrs. Wilkens was nuts. (Bottom of the page) Link to comment

orappa
I liked it. The length didn't bother me as I thought the humour broke it up nicely. One correction: the sites are http://www.mtavc.com for VC and http://www.multitheftauto.com for GTA3 (although they both take you to the same place). http://www.gta3mta.tk was the original site when MTA came out AGES ago and hence it's got kind of messed up with the newer content (if you visit it, you'll see what I mean). Guest
Thank you, all good people in the MTA Community. When I hear someone say, "I got a few laughs from your writing", I just want to write MORE. Yeah, compliment-whore me, sorry, sorry. But, honestly, thank you! I know I have to work on my writing style in order to shorten it up. But I try to speak in a "natural voice" and that sometimes leads to, uh, "grammatical cluttering". Constructive criticism gladly accepted, I'll continue to strive to endeavour to quest towards some solution to the difficulty in my over-achieving use of teh wurds. Thanks for the heads-up on the links, JonChappell...I'll change 'em right quick. By the way, I *did* find something very funny to do on MTA. I like to hop on the busier servers like PartyServer as a Sailor and make statements in the chat such as, "Hi boyth! I'm a cute thailor! Kiss kiss!" and various come-ons to that effect. Before anyone accuses me of being a homophobe, I'm NOT, I can assure you. Living in Toronto, I have lots of friends of various sexual preferences and genders. Hell, I *wish* I was Gay, I'd be getting laid a lot more. I go onto MTA servers as one of the musicians from 'The Village People" just to get all the homophobes on there ANGRY and start chasing after me and going berserk when I offer to "toss their salad" (yeah, I know, I'm sorry, please don't ban me forum admins...thou are so powerful...obeisance..obeisance...). It's actually VERY INTERESTING to see how many current players on a server GO ABSOLUTELY INSANE AND START CALLING ME NAMES AND CHASING ME. Ah, the COMEDY. The best part, of course, are the few Gamers who actually *do* get the joke and start laughing like crazy... Actually, the BEST part was when I was showing my gay friend Gary how I was running around like a sailor boy with all the homophobes after me and kee-rist did he LAUGH. He even suggested a few things to say... I think I'll do it again tonight. Could be a good article... -- Slacks http://www.markx.net/internetslacker Link to comment

Hehehe, PHEW! Thanks, Black Dragon. Ah, so you've done the Sailor routine, then? So much for me being original . It's great there's the Sailor and the Cop characters to play...if only the dev's would put in an Indian Chief and a Construction Worker. We'd have a full band then.
