Guest Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 When I'm in the game i cannot chat but i can chat on the server before i start game.....any advice on how i can fix this???
+FKU+VVolven Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 First, the tech support answer: Do you press T ingame to bring up the text line? If you do, I noticed if I'm connected to a server where I have a higher ping (say 200) my game actually'll lose packets for the chat, whereas I can alt-tab out of the game and chat just fine. That's just me though, as my PC's on the slowish side, so I dunno if this is the definite cause.

Scorp Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Sometimes lost packets will not count certain kills and show your text, although other people can read the text, it won't appear in your textbox. This doesn't happen that often though. Retired Dodo Killer.

Scorp Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Yep it can also be the config file thats been overwritten, deleting the very important chat command reseting the config file would probably solve that too. Retired Dodo Killer.
