l2ebel Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 can they be longer/bigger in size or is it possible not to record all car and actor positions in blue?
Scorp Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 yer this would make it easier to make smooth stunt movies. With longer recording time and Blue's excellent synching technology, it would be possible to do some nice synched stunting Retired Dodo Killer.
Si|ent Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 The replay method was looked at briefly quite a while ago, but obviously isn't a priority. Wait and See The artist formerly known as [MTA]MrBump

Cray Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I would probably lean towards no at this stage of the game ... just don't want to get your hopes up. Cray "Without doors. No boundries. No restrictions. An entire lifetime that comes down to this single frame of life."
Si|ent Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 As you can see the smiley is simply because i was in a good mood (see, there's another one) And was bringing out that oft used phraze once more. The artist formerly known as [MTA]MrBump
eAi Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I did look into this. While it would be possible to extend the length of replays, it'd be extreemly hard (due to the way its coded - badly)... Maybe I'll get a chance to do it, but its not the first priority. eAi
Slothman Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 was it not explained in an earlier thread that the reason the replay is short is because there is a file size limit for thwe replay files? and mta passes a lot more data so the file size is maxed out quickly. i guess its not a simple matter of changing the filesize limit to the demo file then, huh Check out my recent work: ZDay - a zombie script Slothbot - an AI deathmatch bot my community profile (all my resources)
Si|ent Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Just like world peace is a simple matter of getting everyone to agree. The artist formerly known as [MTA]MrBump
eAi Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 When the replays are recorded, they're saved to a fixed-sized area of the memory (i.e. theres other data either side of it), concequently its hard to resize it. There are other methods, but I haven't really had a chance to look into the feasability of them yet. eAi
