[Q@DEV] can replays be fixed in BLUE?

yer this would make it easier to make smooth stunt movies. With longer recording time and Blue's excellent synching technology, it would be possible to do some nice synched stunting :)

The replay method was looked at briefly quite a while ago, but obviously isn't a priority.

I would probably lean towards no at this stage of the game ... just don't want to get your hopes up.

I did look into this. While it would be possible to extend the length of replays, it'd be extreemly hard (due to the way its coded - badly)... Maybe I'll get a chance to do it, but its not the first priority.

was it not explained in an earlier thread that the reason the replay is short is because there is a file size limit for thwe replay files? and mta passes a lot more data so the file size is maxed out quickly.

i guess its not a simple matter of changing the filesize limit to the demo file then, huh

When the replays are recorded, they're saved to a fixed-sized area of the memory (i.e. theres other data either side of it), concequently its hard to resize it. There are other methods, but I haven't really had a chance to look into the feasability of them yet.
