new gang coming to MTA:VC, though for the 0.4 release we will mainly play loosely in publics - possibly the odd friendly for some tactic practice - our main aim will be to dominate the 'blue' release of the game.

our gangs theme is that we will be a biker gang - only the top boys can drive the 'harley type' bikes - but all other members can use what bike they wish.

basically at this stage we will hit servers in packs,having fun, killing / dying - making friends etc - then get our heads down and putting tactics together for a crack at some tourneys once 'blue' comes out.

so when you hear a bunch of bikes coming, u better start running

rofl, aye - but if you read my post properly - you will see i state that we will play 0.4, play for fun and to learn some tacs etc

but our main aim is to establish this and go for a serious push for the tourneys / ladders when 'blue' is out.

as far as i can tell from 0.4, is that its still buggy / glitchy / hackable etc - and im not going to put our lads into an official game environment knowing that we could easily be hacked.

also, please can someone point me into the direction of the 'official ladders / tournaments' - is there anything that is well run etc? - i ask as ive been in discussions with a former fps / multigaming clan, and have the possibility of re-joining, which will give the gang access to the clans sponsors - free server / web hosting / TS and Clan Lans.

what i need though is 'evidence' so to speak, that MTA is a worthy competitive online environment.

I don´t think anyone can tell what blue will be like yet.

Though current gangs may be getting experience in terms of knowing the enviroment, new weapons and new possibilities may wreck that.

No point in dodging behind a wall if the blast from a rocket launcher will 1-hit kill you, stuff like that.

On the other hand , certain universal things can be mastered now.

Having a theme is a great idea and much in the spirit of GTA.

However, if you want to be able to compete as a gang there will be restrictions you have to play by. Which brings me to riding a bike... baaad idea lol.

... unless of course you want to move away from the combat.

The vast majority of players in a server will be driving in cars, you lose hp when you fall of it and further more you can´t swim...

Well, it´s beta software and there is no official ladder or tournament.

To me playing MTA, what it comes down to is my love for GTA. Not online competition.

Dont take me wrong, there most certainly is competition involved lol.

In fact I think real life gangs may seem passive compared to what goes on here

I believe there are around 7 major gangs competiting actively each week.

(80 % of which claim the title as number 1)

There is of course also a lot of smaller local gangs.

Rich opportunity to compete and practice.

Anyway, I would suggest you check out turfwars. However, initially it is GTA3 only where of course there are no bikes for you to ride
