OpiuM. Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 i think ill bump this. and speak my mind. can you all make it, so that mapmods and txd mods, anything that effects how things look, server-side. and make things like..say.. Handling, deafualt.ide client side? so that you can do ur own stuff..... i see why id be a no, but id like to use the mods i made for SP vs mods some other guys made (racing would just be lame, if everyone had the same handling) click me
orappa Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 (racing would just be lame, if everyone had the same handling) Wouldn't that be classed as cheating though? MTA:SA FAQ - Read this before asking questions. MTA:SA Troubleshooting - Read this first if you have problems.
eAi Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Its possible for the addon to change the vehicle's handling without changing the handling.cfg, so you could create an addon that'd allow you to "upgrade" your car for points or whatever, like $1000 to increase the max speed.... just an idea. I don't think it'd be particularily fun just having people playing with random hacked handlings. eAi
b0b0 Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Rather surprising how no one understands this concept. It is very simple to grasp.
Kent747 Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 heh rest assured we will take measures to make sure everyone has the same files on their system, including map mods, handling changes etc... I won't go into the specifics of how this works... but as a gamemode developer you CAN change these for your specific addon... think of addons as gamemodes... not necessarily tiny tweaks.. I think that'll make more sense... i.e. the difference between stunt and DM on normal VC servers....only a much more effective way of doing it w/ the new core.
