Posty Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Has anyone else played this? I just downloaded it from steam today. Been playing it most of the day. The graphics are awesome (of course, off of the HL2 engine) and the gameplay is smooth. I think I might actually play this CS version. Just wanted to know if anyone else had tried it out And the video stress test gave me about 28.8fps on average. Which isn't all that bad (when it has like 20 effects showing on the screen at the same time ) If you haven't seen this beta in steam, I suggest ya try it out.

Iggy Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 The video stress demo runs 59.54 fps for me with water reflections set to Everything instead of just "World"..but now everytime I open steam or CS:S my internet fucking goes off for about 5 minutes........WTF?

Garuzzo Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 graphics are brilliant but the bullet synch is erratic, theres less recoil but the xhairs move weird. the smoke grenades are more realistic and flashes are kinda like dreams, he nades seem to do more damage too. ps: when i was playing it,week ago, the only map available was de_dust..
