Guest Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 I have a fresh install of Vice City and mta. First I had the weapons.dat problem, but I fixed that. Now I go to join a server, and I can connect sucessfully. I hit start game, and then the screen goes black for a second and my computer reboots. The last version of mta worked just fine, I dont know why it doest work now. Any ideas?

orappa Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 Onboard graphics? *shudders* If you want to stop it rebooting, go to Start > Control Panel > System and click on the Advanced tab. Now click Settings under Startup and Recovery and deselect the box marked "Automatic restart". This is the most stupid "feature" of XP.

Guest Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 well fixed it. I had recently upgraded my graphics driver, so i didnt think that was the problem. I found out, they released a new version a few days after so i downloaded it and now it works. thanks,
