Stunt video size

I made a stunt vid but im wondering, whast a good size for a high quality .wmv thats 4 min and 30 seconds long? i dont want it to be too big so im wondering what is a good filesize.

I think "Vice City Miss This" a couple posts below this is that long. I think thats about 48MB

Personal preferences:

Video reso: 400x300 - 640x480

Framerate: 20FPS - 30FPS

Video encoding: DivX pro 5.1, XviD (3/2/04) or WMV prof. v9

Video bitrate: 1200kbps - 1900kbps, one pass should be enough

Audio encoding: MP3, or Lame MP3

Audio bitrate: 128kbps 44,1KHz - 48KHz CBR

Filetype: preferably AVI, otherwise WMV.

Whatever comes out with those chars should be reasonable I guess.

BTW, pretty damned thing this latest XviD codec I got off K-Lite Codec Pack 225 (y). Worth checking out.

Prokopis: LAME is just an MP3 encoder like Fraunhofer and Xing. So it's MP3 just like any other MP3, just MP3 encoded with the LAME encoder sounds better than the MP3s encoded with other encoders.

my first vid i made was 2 minutes and 8 mb in size, so imo 4x your minutes and you got the mb's so your should be 18 mb then

your bitrate is insane 1500 i had like 500-600 and the quality was ok in 640*480 screen

tip: always record your replays or whatever in the most possible game-rez + record on 640*480, afterwards you can still compress and resize it at the same time....

Uhmmm, Fraps can either record either @ half or full game reso, so to get replays recorded @ 640x480 you'd have to either play in 1280x960 (!) or 640x480 reso and the latter sounds more sensible to me.

BTW, 640x480 @ ~600kbps bitrate is just not good (enough) for a clip that's meant to be payed as much attention to as a stunt vid; it would be decent @ smaller resos or for less significant stuff like a funny gag, or previews, or other stuff.

as for size, i prefer vids to be about 50mb max, though if they are quality i would set a limit at 100. if your vid is 100mb i would alse make a 50mb vid for those of us on 56k =)

Mayb i had betr turn the resolution down from 1024 x 768 becz im only half way through my film and its alrgere than any1 elses already. Might have 2 start again
