vass69
VC is more fun because of the new types of vehicles, like heli's and boats, which are not in GTA3. The only thing is that the VC world gets boring very fast.. although there's lots of details (like going into buildings, etc.).GTA3's Liberty City is fun, it takes a bit longer before it gets boring, compared to VC, but unfortunately it misses those new things. Why don't you buy both? i thought there are boats in gta3 Link to comment
Prokopis
You thought right. Also there's the dodo, uncategorized (i.e. more) weapons and the subway system, all unique to GTA3, but it still isn't as good a game as VC in the end. BTW he said he couldn't afford both games IJ. Link to comment
dystopia
i know gta wo was supposed to combine both maps add bikes and helis to gta3, but does it let you bail, and carry over both sets of weapons as well? if so i'd say it's time to install another copy of both games Link to comment
TwwIX
Definitely GTA 3.It's the layout, the dark urban atmosphere and the music of course. Not that i don't like 80's music or that there's anything wrong with it. I just can't live without mah K-JAH. I guess it just grew on me cause i played it long before Vice City came out. Link to comment
Guest
I think what im going to do is get GTA3 first, then VC next month when i get paid again. I would have got both but i recently got myself a new GF FX card, hard drive and other bits as half my pc blew up one day. Whether VC is a more advanced game or not, i still didnt like the sunny streets of vice more than liberty. Ive been playing GTA3 on my PS2 since 2001 and im still not bored of it. I got bored of VC after about a month. I hope when this new version of MTA comes out for GTA3 more people will play it, as liberty in my eyes at least is the better more complex and realistic city. Prokopis
I'd still maintain that it's more the range of gameplay freedom and opportunities than the simple size of a game's world that determines its worth in the end, but since you've already made your mind up, anything more would probably be superfluous.
