Guest Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 I'm trying to play over a LAN with a friend, but it keeps saying that a computer with teh same IP is trying to connect. can 2 people just play on 2 computers over a LAN? I tried using LAN IPs but it didn't work. I have pc1 start a game i have pc2 join port 2003 says same IP is trying to join.
Kent747 Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 this is how you should set it up pc1 run cmd... run ipconfig tell person on pc2 your ip pc1 run server pc1 run client connect to 127.0.0.1 pc2 run client connect to pc1's ip.. p1 and pc2 press start game play
Guest Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 I just tried that and it still gives me Player:Player has joined the game. Another Player tried to connect under the same ip. I get the same error on the other computer.

True Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 The old MTA:VC had this "error" per se, since I don't play GTA3:MTA (I will as soon as the new client for it is out), maybe the GTA3 client has that problem as well.
Agret Posted December 20, 2003 Posted December 20, 2003 Yea, its a real annoying problem, I think you need another computer to host (i.e. Host can't play on same comp)
