Hello,

For some wierd reason, when i try and get in the game, It crashes and says thats the file. The file is in the correct dir.

The game has worked fine for ages and now its gone tits up

I can get in to the game, go to start mulit theft auto, the pink bar loads and gets to about 75% and crashes.

Any Ideas what services i might have disabled

ya i think that dll is vc related, i had the error to, when i tried to run mta-vc from the wrong directory. its a dll in the same directory as the exe(im not 100% sure that was the name of it since im not home right now, but im pretty sure ) well anyways good luck

This .dll only seems to effect MTA/GTAVC. I have reinstall both MTA and GTAVC. Any ideas at all?

It used to work and you didn't do anything and now it is hosed?

Did you do anything different at all on the computer?

If no, try to use the system restore back to a date when your computer wasn't "tits up"

As per normal, Windows feature on you when you need it,

System restore has failed to restore your previous settings....

Please Oh Please can someone slap bill gates with a fish! Umm I have tried going back to standard pc settings and still it revolts

Reinstalling GTA-CV and MTA will do the trick . And dont forget . Do not install any mods or moddify any VC files , OR mta will not work

as far as your 75% loading, i used to get that when i had a nocd crack, it would load all but a little chunk, then the game would crash. the problem was solved when i put the original .exe back

The file belongs to Windows' XP Application Compatability feature

(ApplicationCompatabilitylayers.dll) Just check you're not trying to run the game as another OS...

(Ignore the word Quake and replace with VC ) This patch might fix the file you are having problems with

Fook me! I changed the mta to stop running under windows 98 and it runs fine! I dont see why it all changed cause it was running under it fine for weeks. Must of done a windows update or something. Oh well! Thanks for your help
