Phoenix-Roleplay
Is there anything special I have to do to draw images in high resolution? It seems any photo I use they all show up in poor quality and get very pix-elated Link to comment
Callum
Ensure you maintain their aspect ratio. Link to comment
Phoenix-Roleplay
Which I have, it seems all clients get this issue as well. I took a photo for example and made it 200x200, and then displayed it at 200x200 in game and the quality of it just looks horrid. EDIT: I mean, I made a photo at the size of 200x200, not changed. Jaysds1
well, the game it self is a 3D game but poor Picture Quality. I can't say it's not good, but the game was made in 2004. Link to comment
robhol
What format are you using? Try something lossless like png. Or it could just be a limitation of the game engine. Link to comment
Phoenix-Roleplay
I use PNG, it may be the game engine not sure. Would like to see a little bit of clarification on how the whole system works. But for now I honestly think images can be obstructive and in the way Link to comment
Anderl
I get the same problem. Aibo told me to use images with size power 2 like 128 x 128, 256 x 256, 512 x 512. Did not try it yet, check it out. Link to comment
Phoenix-Roleplay
Already did, I used 64x64 Link to comment
NeXTreme
You should get highest quality by using an image with dimensions that are a power of 2 (for example, 128 x 128) and drawing that image in 1:1 scale in MTA. As soon as you start to scale the image in MTA, it's quality will reduce. If you ARE scaling, make sure the image position and sizes are Integers (whole numbers), and that they are an even number. Should help a bit. Link to comment
Phoenix-Roleplay
Tried all of this, still fails to display properly.. Using: Adobe Photoshops CS6 processing a PNG non-interlaced Dimensions of file: 64x64 Dimensions set in-game: 64x64 Still displays pix-elated Link to comment
NeXTreme
Are you using guiCreateStaticImage or DX functions? I had some issues in the past with guiCreateStaticImage, where images had like "stripes" on them. Link to comment
NeXTreme
TBH, I have no clue on this then. Can you post a screenshot of how it looks tho? I'm interested. Link to comment
Phoenix-Roleplay
If you give me a bit, yes, I did not do this recently, this was from experience the other day. EDIT: Only photo I had handy.. But as you can see it seems to lower the quality, this is at 128x128 (Stock size) Link to comment
