In 1up's review of APB (All Points Bulletin) they stated MTA as an alternative to APB and its' subscription fees.

I thought it was kind of interesting to see that MTA is this relevant. Or maybe I'm just thinking too hard? lol.

Nice. It's a little inaccurate, though - it gives the feeling that MTA's an independent game that just looks like GTA, not that it's a mod for the game. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it.
