  1. In 1up's review of APB (All Points Bulletin) they stated MTA as an alternative to APB and its' subscription fees. http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?pager. ... 180268&p=1 I thought it was kind of interesting to see that MTA is this relevant. Or maybe I'm just thinking too hard? lol.
  2. You guys may remember my previous topic (https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=26244). I couldn't be helped because my MTA directory had no dump folder or files, and would not create them. I solved the problem myself by running ryden's modified MTA client, but MTA still refuses to create a dump folder and dump files for me! I'm running Vista, so I assumed running MTA as an adminstrator would work, but it hasn't. MTA has been giving me all sorts of problems but there's no way anybody can help me without dump files to prove it, so what should I do?

  4. Um.. well, it's not in the directory for me. I even went back in-game and waited to crash again but still there's nothing. Is a logfile.txt the same thing?

  6. Valhalla is indeed a lot more unstable, because it's a large-scale server. But I'd be more interested in the race server crashes. How often is "occasional" to you? Once a day? Once a week? Also, could you describe a bit about the conditions at that time you froze or crashes? For instance, were there custom models loaded? Were there a lot of players close to eachother, some other details? (You probably won't remember details from most crashes in the past, but might be useful for MTA staff for fixing them in the future) Finally, I suggest you to upload a zip file containing all of your "crash dumps". (if any) You can compare those with Black Boxes you can find on airplanes. With this devs can see more accurately how the crash happened, making it a bit easier for the devs to track down and fix the problem. The dumps are located at: %MTA Installation Folder%/MTA/dumps On a race server, my screen will freeze up as I pan the camera (like for example if I move my mouse off to the right to view a car beside me or someone behind me). I don't think any custom models were loaded other than the customized GUI the server was running. At the most recent crash (yesterday sometime), I was spectating a race and watching cars race through the track one at a time, one behind the other, when the game just closed out on me. And I couldn't find a file titled dumps to upload, but I'm going to go back in-game and when I crash again I'll see what happens. Is there a console command I need to use?

  8. I crash a lot on the Valhalla RP server that's heavy in scripts but I even have occasional crashes on DDC's Race Server as well from time to time.

  10. MTASA crashes, hangs up, and freezes on me at times, which forces me to have to close it by alt tabbing and using the task manager. On some servers where there are a lot of different scripts running, the game will freeze while things load, and then return back to a normal FPS. Other times, it will freeze and stay there, forcing me to have to alt tab out in order to close MTA. Aside from that, my game also crashes randomly. Single-player runs perfectly fine and I have no mods installed at all. I've also found that aside from the random crashes, other servers run fine as well, with no freezing or hang-ups at all. I've tried reverting to MTA 1.02 already and that hasn't helped. I'm trying everything but reinstalling GTASA I'm running Vista 32-bit on a Dell XPS. Here are some of my PC specs: If you need anything else or any more information to help me out with this problem, I will be more than happy to give it to you. I'm getting really desperate here because nothing I've tried has helped and I run other newer games (Borderlands, MW2) that just about melt my PC inside out but have no problems with them. Please help!

  12. imo, this is a good thing that just happened to come a little late, but hopefully it will do some good.. and when are we gonna get the new map editor?
  13. I'm looking forward to the task system (if it's being implemented, I mean).
  14. I'm happy to give it a try but let's hope the RP isn't generic as the script is.
  15. I like playing around at AlienX's freeroam server because people are always there around my time.
  16. I'll try to explain it for you. There are three commands. addclothes, removeclothes, and listclothes. Type listclothes 1-12 in the console to see what type of clothes you want. An example would be listclothes 3. That brings up the shoes. Look through the list that's given and you'll need to find two things. The shoe name, and the shoe model. addclothes works like this. You would type addclothes [bODYPARTNUMBER] [CLOTHESNAME] [CLOTHESTEXTURE]. In this case, you would type addclothes 3 convheatblk conv. This would give you a pair of black shoes. To remove clothes you would type removeclothes 1-12 in the console. To take off the shoes, you would type removeclothes 3 in the console. 3 is the body part number for feet so it would remove your shoes. I hope that helped, but it's hard to explain without actually being in-game.
  17. These commands are already in MTA and are automatically in the server when you start it up. Just make your own server or go to a server where they are enabled and you can use them.
  18. Yup. As long as the server allows these commands to be used, you're good to go. I found a couple freeroam servers that allowed the commands.
  19. Alright, for those of you that haven't played around with this yet..there are commands you can use to literally mod your vehicle on the go. Using these commands in the console allows you to snap mods onto your car and then be on your way. These commands are: createvehicle carname/id - This command lets you spawn a vehicle of your choice. Just use either the vehicle's name or the vehicle's id. Example: Type createvehicle blade in the console. This will spawn a blade somewhere near you. Make sure you do this in an open space because it WILL spawn cars inside of buildings and such if you're too close to something. addupgrade - Adds an upgrade to your car. Example: Type addupgrade 1087 in the console. This will put hydraulics on your car. setpaintjob - Adds a paintjob to your vehicle. Only for cars that can be modded in Loco Lows or Wheel Arch Angels, AKA Lowriders and Tuners. Example: Get into a lowrider or a tuner car and type setpaintjob 1 in the console. A paintjob should appear on your car. So far I've only seen setpaintjob 1-3 work, but if any other numbers work, let me know and I'll edit the post. setcolor 0 0 0 - Sets the color of your car. 1 is the outside, 2 is the interior (only works with certain cars) and I have no idea what the 3rd one is, but it's there. Example: Type setcolor 37 1 in the console. This will make your car green and the inside white (if you're in a car with a changeable interior.) repair - Fixes your vehicle completely. Example: Type repair in the console, and your car is back to normal. Finally, here is the addupgrade ID list, and no, I did not find these myself. 1000, Generic Spoiler 1001, Generic Spoiler 1002, Generic Spoiler 1003, Generic Spoiler 1004, Bonnet Scoop? 1005, Bonnet Scoop? 1006, Generic Vehicle Roof-Scoop 1007, Generic Vehicle Side Skirt (L) 1008, Nitro - 5 Shots 1009, Nitro - 2 Shots 1010, Nitro - 10 Shots 1011, Bonnet Scoop? 1012, Bonnet Scoop? 1013, Round Fog Lamps 1014, Generic Spoiler (Large?) 1015, Generic Spoiler (Large?) 1016, Generic Spoiler 1017, Generic Vehicle Side Skirt (R) 1018, Curved Twin Cylinder Generic Exhaust 1019, Twin Cylinder Generic Exhaust 1020, Large Generic Exhaust 1021, Medium Generic Exhaust 1022, Small Generic Exhaust? 1023, Generic Spoiler 1024, Square Fog Lamps 1025, Off Road Wheel. 1026, Sultan Side Skirt Type 1 (L) 1027, Sultan Side Skirt Type 1 (R) 1028, Sultan Exhaust Type 1 1029, Sultan Exhaust Type 2 1030, Sultan Side Skirt Type 2 (R) 1031, Sultan Side Skirt Type 1 (L) 1032, Sultan Roof Scoop type 1 1033, Sultan Roof Scoop type 2 1034, Elegy Ehaust type 1 1035, Elegy Roof Scoop Type 1 1036, Elegy Side Skirt type 1 (L) 1037, Elegy Exhaust Type 2 1038, Elegy Roof Scoop type 2 1039, Elegy Side Skirt type 2 (L) 1040, Elegy Side Skirt type 1 (R) 1041, Elegy Side Skirt type 2 (R) 1042, Broadway Side Skirt (L) 1043, Broadway Exhaust type 2 1044, Broadway Exhahst type 1 1045, Flash Exhaust type 2 1046, Flash Exhaust type 1 1047, Flash Side Skirt type 1 (L) 1048, Flash Side Skirt type 2 (L) 1049, Flash Spoiler type 1 1050, Flash Spoiler type 2 1051, Flash Side Skirt type 1 (R) 1052, Flash Side Skirt type 2 (R) 1053, Flash Roof Scoop type 2 1054, Flash Roof Scoop type 1 1055, Stratum Roof Scoop type 1 1056, Stratum Side Skirt type 1 (L) 1057, Stratum Side Skirt type 2 (L) 1058, Stratum Spoiler type 1 1059, Stratum Exhaust type 2 1060, Stratum Spoiler type 2 1061, Stratum Roof Scoop type 2 1062, Stratum Side Skirt type 1 (R) 1063, Stratum Side Skirt type 2 (R) 1064, Stratum Exhaust type 1 1065, Jester Exhaust type 1 1066, Jester Exhaust type 2 1067, Jester Roof Scoop type 1 1068, Jester Roof Scoop type 2 1069, Jester Side Skirt type 1 (L) 1070, Jester Side Skirt type 2 (L) 1071, Jester Side Skirt type 1 (R) 1072, Jester Side Skirt type 2 (R) 1073, Wheel Arch Angels Wheel type 6 1074, Wheel Arch Angels Wheel type 3 1075, Wheel Arch Angels Wheel type 2 1076, Loco' Low Co.
